Lanky's Last Condo
Hello Everyone - I have not posted in a while do to:
So, thanks to Sienne for asking about us and helping to get me off my duff and post some information. The CSU experience was fabulous - people, vet hospital, country side, accommodations, everything! Lanky was a trooper handling the 2-day road-trip out without a hiccup, being the best patient ever & winning over the hearts of the docs too, and then breezing thru the trip home.
I am trying to post a link to the pics on Picasa, let's see if this works. It has only taken me most of the afternoon!

So, the expectation is that within 2 to 3 months, Lanky's insulin requirement will diminish significantly and the ACRO growth affects will stop and perhaps diminish too. CSU has financial assistance opportunities for the Vet hospital that I am going to follow-up on and share. It seems to me we should be able to figure out a way to help all of the ACRO kitties get this treatment. With the board network, I bet we can. We need a Ronald McDonald type of of place in Fort Collins & perhaps help with gas or other travel too. The treatment is the same for Cushing Disease.
Hope all of the kitties are doing well.
Hello Everyone - I have not posted in a while do to:
- being pooped,
addressing household issues after Dad was left home alone with 3 kitties for over 10 days while Lanky, my sister & I drove to Fort Collins CO for Acro treatment;
regrouping after spending 12 days in close proximity with my older, eccentric sister (I do love her dearly though);
and, experiencing a general physical, mental, & emotional culmination of the events over the last 5 months since the diabetes dx.
