Good morning,
We are having another early dip to 71 on Libre in her am cycle today at +1. She likes an early dive.
Curious what she has planned today.

We have a vet and a fasted lab appointment tomorrow morning at +4. I plan to give her a 1/2 dose tonight and skip insulin in the morning since her labs have been very lipemic when she’s been fed (her diet is lamb, which is very fatty)

I will sedate tonight with gabapentin and trazodone and again in the morning a few hours before we go. Poor baby:(

I’m already stressed about it. Gave a nail trim so she can’t shred the vet staff.

Hi Staci,
That's a lot of preparations for the visit! Any deviation from the daily routine is hard for the kitty and her mom.
It must be so stressful! Hope all goes as well as it can be and you won't have any surprises.

Thank you, Kit. So glad for the moment she doesn’t know what’s going on. Soon enough… when I have to sedate her and lower the insulin tonight she will get a clue. My poor baby :(

Oh Staci, I can imagine there is a lot of tension tonight. I also wouldn't like to sedate Binie but I am sure, you make it less stressful for Ivy by doing that. And by reducing her insulin you keep her really safe. You planned everything so thoughtful! And you are experienced in doing that and you know, that it works even though it is stressful. Best mum ever! :cat: And who knows, maybe Ivy enjoys her sedation a little? I found this silly picture in the hope, it makes you smile a little. I keep my fingers crossed for tomorrow and am looking forward to read you update!

We appreciate your sweet support and will let you know how it goes.
I need to get through tonight and tomorrow and get her back on track.

Thanks, Alicia. I hope you are able to remain more zen than me. I get pretty stressed because Ivy gets so worked up.
