HAPPY SUNDAY!!!!

Hershey had a whole BLUE PM cycle, but decided to return to YELLOW this morning. Go figure...

Off to church, then heading for the hills!! :lol:

Sorry, didn't mean to throw you with the new avatar, just felt like a change. :-D Glad y'all figured out we're still us!!! :lol:

I was more than a little worried with Hershey being (90) at departure time. The 3-hour drive took us almost 5. :YMSIGH: He cried off and on, but really was better than I expected. And, the delay was not their fault...at all. We had forgotten to pick up the med refills, so headed in that direction before embarking. Well, we were already hungry, so decided to pick up Wendy's, which is almost in the same parking lot as the drug store. When we went to Walmart Friday, I asked Doug to grab two bags of gummies - 1 for the trip and 1 for Joseph's back-to-school box. He didn't hear me, so we had to stop by Walmart for another bag of gummies. CAN'T travel without gummies...it's a law. ;-) We waited to gas up to stop at the exit that ALWAYS has the cheapest gas. So, off we went...well, for once, it had been cheaper at Walmart. And, by this time we realized Jessica had NOT received the frosty Doug had paid for. (She hadn't said anything because she thought he had forgotten it.) So, while Doug pumped gas, Joseph and Jessica went in to pick out a dozen doughnuts from Dunkin' Donuts Express. NOW - we were off! And, we made good time, too. UNTIL - we sat for an hour in wreck traffic from a head-on collision. :o Made it to the cabin, unloaded enough to get the cats unpacked, pull Hershey from under the bed and test him.

It's a small cabin. Two bedrooms with queen beds a pull-out sofa in the living room and two bathrooms, it's not spacious, but will do our business. The cats have thoroughly checked things out. Doug is working on supper and I'm sitting on the deck, enjoying the cool air...and probably getting eaten alive by mosquitoes! (They LOVE me!!)

Hope he comes down from that! He nor Oreo are eating and we've been here about :45. :sad:

Hmm, so, a typical road trip? :lol:
Hope you grabbed some DD coffee with the donuts! My Mr. Coffee only accepts DD grounds. America Runs on Dunkin'.
The boys will eat once they figure out they're staying put tonight. Enjoy the cooler mountain air, y'all!

Wow, what a trip! I hope you have a/c in your car!! I can imagine that the kitties don't feel like eating after such an "adventure". When we take Rusty to NYC he never wants to eat right away, even though he hasn't eaten anything during the 6-hour trip. (Stu used to eat en route, but Rusty tends to carsickness, so he abstains).
Sounds like you will have a great week in the cabin in the mountains. Enjoy every minute. Keep cool. Don't eat too many gummies, you don't want to lose a filling on your vacation!

Hey, Carl - Surprisingly enough, Doug nor Joseph got coffee with their doughnuts. Jessica nor I drink it...well...Jessica will drink fru fru coffees. ;-) It's almost cold outside; it's WONDERFUL! Hershey has eaten some and Oreo a little. Guess Oreo will be hungry at shot time!

Hey, Ella - Yes, ma'am, we have a/c in the van! YAY!! I don't eat gummies...well, occasionally a red one...but, I think Doug mainlines them! :lol:

Well...well...well...maybe Hershey is deciding he likes the mountains? His royal highness has been enjoying doing allll the things he isn't allowed to do at home. Oreo wasn't timid at all, staking his claim to Jessica's bed, etc. Hershey found the dresser by the open window (I put his blanket on it so he didn't scratch the furniture.) and spent a good deal of time there, maybe the crickets and cool air helped to lower his BG?!

Am going to try to drag myself out of bed to test, again, but not promising. Sorry I probably won't be visiting much since internet is sooo limited here. Not sure what they have here, but in order to get online I have to go outside or, right now, I'm leaned across the dresser with the laptop balanced on the window sill...uncomfortable is an understatement. :lol: Please forgive any typos as I can't even see the keyboard! :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

@Carl - Our church did a blind taste test for the coffee bar and DD coffee won out, so that's what they serve. :-D
