Maybe I spoke too soon...he still seems a bit bothered "back there". But will monitor for now and give it a couple days. I did order a Feliway diffuser, will arrive today, thought I would place it in his litter box room.

I must say he really gets a wet messy bum full of stuck on litter every time he pees, which is quite frequently.

He doesn't like me grooming him back there so it's hard to grab away the bits of litter but I do my best. He also tracks little muddy foot prints around the house so his feet must be getting wet while urinating too (he doesn't cover his urine so its not from that). This is in addition to spreading litter itself around the house which is expected. I just put more litter in the box, a good 7" deep wondering if the urine has further to flow down to his bottom will be less wet. Normally I keep it about 4" deep and I clean it very frequently. Might consider a litter change. I ise a clumping lightweight litter but maybe one of the clumping old style heavy litters would be better. Just thinking out loud.

Also I added his lab results from last month. I will add the results from yesterday's appointment as soon as I get them, probably not until Tuesday. I might try to get the results from his original diagnosis but since I switched vets (with whom i had VERY long relationship with - she did my horses, all my dogs, cats etc for more than 15 years) I am little nervous to ask! Will be interesting to see if there is a lingering uti.

Could be? but I mean he is 10 years old and this as been going on for a while but definitely is exasperated by larger volume of urine and frequency of urination. In the past I have tried the "crystals" which he would NOT use. I do have two litter boxes....he only uses one....maybe I will try some of my horse bedding in one of them, he seems to like peeing in their stalls. Only problem then is its not clumping so harder to gauge urine output.

Yep pretty pleased with todays blue! Will celebrate with extra sleep….fun times on a Friday night! Will watch For All Mankind with Herman, he loves space shuttles and stuff like that. :cat: My husband is bugging me for a date night, maybe tomorrow :smuggrin: …would trade in date night for some cool greens though.
