Good afternoon!! Sending lots of healing vines to Leo and Punkin!! Please get better soon, boys!!!

Gracie has shifted her green cycles to nighttime and while she is staying in "normal" numbers in her p.m. cycles, it's just a little green. She and Tobey have been eating really well on the WN fud lots we found that were more pate than the Canadian ones. It's great to have her in the CPC with 5Ps! They cracked me up this morning.....Tobey was in the foyer taking a bath and Gracie came running in at him from the catio and slid across the tile reminiscent of Tom Cruise in "Risky Business" and slammed right into him initiating WWF Smackdown. :lol: :lol: :lol: When they finally decided they'd had enough wrasslin', he was lying on his back near where she was sitting and she was reaching around to lick her back. He would coo and then roll over and grab her....she'd smack him, he'd roll back, and then they'd do it again. Those two are certainly entertaining and we're so happy they are so bonded.

I'm not sure what has changed with Gus but he's wanting to eat every couple hours even through the night. We're glad he's eating so well and he's putting on weight and looks and seems to feel really good. But he won't sync up his nighttime eating with Gracie's tests and so it's up/down all night long either to feed him or test her. I thought I'd be smart and feed him when I was up at +7.5 with Gracie but he was snoring up a storm and I didn't have the heart to wake him. :roll: :roll: Yes, I'm tired, but I don't want to look a gift horse in the mouth that he's doing so well. cat_pet_icon cat_pet_icon cat_pet_icon

I sooo know what you mean about Gus's eating schedule. My own schedule - everything I do - revolves around Mario's eating schedule. When he wants to eat (which is fairly frequently...he's always been a nibbler), everything else stops. I have to sit with him, to make sure no one else steals his grub, and I certainly don't want to ever discourage him from eating since his hyper-T has caused him to lose some weight. I love him dearly and will do whatever he wants if it involves him eating, but it's also why I can get hardly anything else done. Queue up "The Things We do for Love" :lol: !

Crazy cat lady, you can wear that badge with honor. :lol: :lol: My sisters can hardly believe when I say the people on this board are crazier about their cats than we are. I love the Gracie baby pictures and it seems impossible that she would hiss at Tobey.

Hi guys,
Gracie and Tobey sure have fun together! I'm glad they like their WN foods. So which plant makes the one they like? Rusty has been devouring the Canadian 3-oz cans of turkey and chicken. I'm happy that he likes the chicken, since he never cared for it in the 5.5 oz cans.

Sorry to hear that you're not getting enough sleep because Gracie's tests don't coincide with Gus's feedings. Maybe you can convince Gracie to switch her cycles back to where they used to be!

Please tell my other best boy, Tobey, that I am baking cimmamum cookies on Thursday to take to our annual picnic on Sunday and that I'm going to bake an extra batch for him (and you, too, of course).

p.s. I went back to the Monojects today and also took the skinny off Rusty's dose this evening. I don't like seeing him in these higher numbers.

I'm glad you've been able to find the WN fuds both Gracie and Tobey like. I've been lucky with the Canadian one so far. So cute with the Tobey and Gracie play and smackdown! Hope you were able to get in a good nap, Marje.

Ella...the cans are from the UT plant but they vary even from there!!!

Amy...I know...exactly...the things we do for love. But they are so precious and it's so important and HUGE when these older CKD kitties love to eat. I can sleep when I'm dead right? :lol: :lol: :lol:

Liz...HA!! There was no hissing today.....just wrasslin'. Well...your sister can come visit and attest to what a CCL I am ;-)

Ann....yes...it's great they are liking the lots I found for them :-D

It was quiet today.....I had to get some outdoor stuff done and it was so hot so when I finished, I got into the pool for an hour of floating/semi napping. Then came in and tried to seriously nap but I don't think I ever really fell asleep. Maybe tonight....hopefully. Even though Mike will be tired from his trip, I'll probably sleep more soundly because I won't be worried about missing Gus needing something or a test for Grace.

It's lovely to have a partner who can release us from some of the testing & serving on our furry kids. You've got a wonderful helper there Majorie!
 
Ahh, I miss having two cats who play with each other. Max hasn't had a feline companion since before he was 1 year old, and he doesn't like other cats very much. There was a tiny (4 lb) tortie with only one eye who would come into the house and eat his food. He would just watch her, but didn't mind that she was in his food. The other cats in the neighborhood seemed to understand that she wasn't supposed to be attacked either. This did not mean that she was not an absolute menace to the hummingbirds. Even with one eye, she caught them. Then, a lady moved in next door and put hummingbird feeders near the ground! We called them cat feeders, and when she heard us she realized her mistake and moved them up. She was so horrified.
