Morgaine's AMPS was 82 and I shot the 3 units then got a little concerned. Anyway, her +1 is 86 and I decided since I could not access the computer to give her a little HC food so I did as she starts to drop by +3. Now we wait and see where she goes.
It is nice to be in the green at PS but as little unnerving, expecially since I had no internet access.
Any advice? I think we are good and I will check her again at +2. I also fed her a little extra after her shot of her low carb food to fend off a hypo. Since I couldn't access the board, I didn't want to see where this would go on my own so better higher than too low.

rosalie you did great. as long as you are around to monitor her and make sure she doesn't go too low, everything is fine. if she drops below 50 then she needs the high carb food to pull her up. give a teaspoon of gravy from it, wait 15 minutes and retest. repeat that process to keep her safe. you will be able to steer her with the carbs.

You might want to print this post out the describes how to manage low numbers in case you can't get an internet connection or no one is around.
With Lantus, the approach is shoot low to stay low. Since you've been seeing more blue that green, I can understand why it's unnerving. However, you've shot a 104 and that's almost within the 20% of meter variance. Next time, I'd suggest holding off on the HC and testing more frequently so you can see how Morgaine's numbers progress without the HC.

Thanks to you all for your advice etc. I just did a +2 and she is 93. She usually comes down more at +3 so I will check then as well.
I thought of all the things you advised Sienne and then got a little scared especially since I couldn't ask but next time I will go with it and just see where she goes. This new dose is so new as well and that concerned me. I am pleased to see her in the green.
I also have my cleaning gals here to clean my rugs today and need to manage Morgaine while that happens but by then we should be fine.
Have printed the "low" instructions out as well but it didn't stop me from getting worried. Just needed you all to advise with Morgaine's specifics.
