No furshot this morning - made darn sure... :lol: It seems that maybe Mannie had a yellow surf last night: his amps today is so close to his +5.5 from last night pm cycle. Wow - that would be a nice thought. Perhaps then he can work on making blue today, maybe surf there for a while... Go Mannie!

Mannie is in good spirits this morning, kind of mellow, but ready to go. He is camped out by his window perch, his little nose sniffing as fast as it can. We are socked in with fog again this morning - it must bring in a variety of new smells - the boy is just so intent upon checking everything with all the senses. Nose is twitching, ears are rotating, eyes look like RoboCop . Kinda funny to watch. Breffis #1, #2 consumed - member of the clean plate club. He is ignoring his civvie sisters - they still have that vetty smell, and he makes a wide circle around them whenever he wants to pass. ah Mannie - come on and cut them some slack. :roll:

Mannie's labs came back yesterday - I hope to get all that posted sometime today. There didn't seem to be any significant change since the last run in March - what was a little high then continues to be high: triglycerides, cholesterol, glucose (duh!), lipase, protein. The highs are just above the ending number of the testing range.

It's funny -- Gizmo could care less that Gabby smells like the vet. He still headbutts and rubs up against her. He really missed not having her here yesterday.

Hey Raja!! YES!!! I will call you! I too am devouring my bean's cookbooks - it is tough - lets see we need low carb for the FD, low protein for the kidney thing, and what for the HyperT thing. This is a challenge... But we can do it! I agree - Stu has been doing so much for all of us - we need to take care of our Top Chef. I will call you aspo - as soon as I eat - all this cookbook reading made me really hungry... Later!! Mannie

Hi Sienne - cute on Gizmo - that is just so nice. He missed his big sister. Mannie however - didn't miss his, though he was antsy when the carriers were going here and there, but otherwise?: they smell, walk funny, and want his food - all unacceptable. :lol:

Hi Pat - yep - robo cop - it just fit - his eyes were not stay on one spot back and forth... what a hoot. I hope he makes blue - he's headed that way. Steady blue one would be great this morning.

239 @ +2 - and dropping. I fed him, a little, and upped the carb content. Slow drop Mannie, no diving, please!

Thanks for checking in on me the other day....my bean has been so busy ohmygod_smile I miss my friends. I was hoping maybe we could all meet at the pier
on Friday? It's been so long. My bean says enough of Magic Mountain it's time to hang at the beach and surf ohmygod_smile she's so funny!
Hey that's kewl to cook for Stu!!! He will dig that! I have birds for ya if you want to change up his famous salmon crusted pizza, we could use birdies :-D

wow - what a nice blue surf for Mannie today! Mannie, would you please teach Emma how to surf like that? Just don't show her how to bounce up to the pinks!

What a great surf for Mannie today. It was so funny about your civies & Mannie. I hope they get rid of the vet smell soon. Maybe you can rub them with chickie dust - then Mannie would like them. :lol:

201 @ PMPS. Not bad at all - let's hope he has a great evening. I was gone for a bit - off to town to see some friends. i am guessing that he surfed the blues - NICE! by general public opinion: no bouncin' to the pinks Mannie - the forum has spoken.

Mannie seems to have forgiven his civvie sisters for their vetty smell. He is back to hangin' out with them, waiting for any drops of food. It was an all cat choir at dinner time. :lol:

Hi everybody! Doodles - I'd love to come to the pier that would be really cool and stuff. Good idea on the birds. I think Tess has lizards and freeze dried shrimp. this will be so grand! We can cook and stuff and make all these great new recipes for Stu - It is just so grand to help out our buddy. Purrcie - thanks too, I'm not too good with cookbooks, but I keep trying!! 80 @ +1.8 -- had intended to test in 30 -- only problem - where's the cat? MIA. shesshhhhh - access is now denied to the great outdoors. He feels great so why not explore. :?

fed 1 tsp HC, will retest in 30.

Hey Mannie, What a great day for you, surfing blue! Way to go, man! And I hear that the kitchen crew is going to cook something for the chef! Oh wow, will I ever like that. But the best part will be seeing you all and hanging out. I'll be home tomorrow all day. My mamabean is busy reading about my "conditions", so we won't have to worry about her. So let's have a little party and maybe surf. I came down to reasonable numbers today. I tried "Cowboy Cookout" tonight (good stuff), but my mamabean worries that the carbs are higher than what I'm used to.
Oops, the vet just called. I am unique. I have more things going on than he's ever seen in 25 years of practice!! See ya tomorrow! Don't worry about me. I feel fine.

STU!!!! DUDE!!!! Yes, you are unique ! That is so cool that your vet now knows it too. I am SO THERE!!! See you tomorrow - my bean wants to go hiking so I will be alone for some of the day - she worries, especially now that I am at 59 - she thinks maybe she shouldn't be gone too long. :roll: :roll: what are we to do with them huh? I will come as soon as I can tomorrow - it will be fun. We can come up with new stuff that will be more Stu, and your conditions, friendly. All the gang wants to come. YAY!!
