Thank God its Monday and the household can return to normal or as normal as we get around here lol.
This weekend was added chaos. You see my sleepy little town has one big claim to fame. KOOLAID!! Yep that's right Hastings NE is the birth place of Koolaid and this weekend was Koolaid Days here and the rescue I volunteer at had their first float in the parade Saturday morning. So after getting the Fur Gang settled it was a sprint to the parade staging area (across the street) give final brushes and ribbon straightening on the pups and kitties that were showcased on the float. Then once the parade got underway. Flying over to their booth to man it. Btw all the babies we took to the festives either went home or are merely waiting for us to choose which family gets them.
Then Saturday night we got hit with 70 mph straight line winds that took out power until about sundown last night. Which was just in time for me to get to stay awake until 3a.m. with Autumn as she made a run for the basement, caught her at 39 so just steered her like an indy driver lol
