I gave him pepcid last night. Still struggling with convincing him that eating is a good idea, BUT I got him to eat some HC mixed with LC FF last night before bed and then he nibbled some more overnight. He's still spending most of his time in hiding though. Tonight he gets more fluids. Hopefully that goes better tonight, than it went last night.

Every little bite helps and I'm glad that Willow took a few on his own. I hope that those little bites here and there will turn into a good appy for your boy. Continued well wishes coming your way!

Sienne, I tried to get the appetite stimulant in him last night and he started drooling and foaming at the mouth. By the time we were done, he and I were both a mess and miserable. This morning I tried dissolving it and mixing with baby food to syringe it in... he once again started foaming and drooling so I gave up. I'll try again tonight if he hasnt eaten on his own today.
 
My Zen is a foamer when it comes to meds, too. It's messy and kind of scary at first, but it's just because the medication tastes so darned nasty. He was at the vet last week because he wasn't eating; the vet tech gave him the stimulant and in return, he foamed and drooled all over her (as concerned as I was about Zen not eating, I did think that was kind of funny :lol: )!

Even though Willow foamed, you probably did get at least some of the medication in, so hopefully that will help kick start his appetite. We're thinking of you!

Hi guys .. sorry to hear you guys are having a hard time right now .. let's be thankful that willow took a few bites of fuds .. every little bit helps .. hang in there guys ...
 
That's GREAT news! Maybe a little bit of the 'foamy' pill did help him out.
In my experience (little as it is) with a kitty that wouldn't eat.. once some food was ingested the kitty felt a little better and made it a tiny bit easier the next time I tried to get food into her. I hope this is the beginning of a fast road to recovery for Willow.
 
Fluids went a little better tonight. He's eaten about a can and a half (some with encouragement and some on his own), so I'm happy with that.
