Well, Pumbaa is having one of his "no curve" days, and just taking a steady drop down, down, down.

I hope he's not going to dive tonight. Please don't dive tonight, little guy. I have a complex, rush project to do this weekend and really need all of my brains to not be mush from lack of sleep.

Suze

ADDENDUM:
Okay, he's down to 77 at +3 pm. And lately his PM nadir has been really late. Hmmmm...is he going to earn a dose decrease? Getting the gravy food and honey out. I have about 75 test strips, and a spare battery for the meter. Looks like I'm not even going to get a nap in between the +3 and +6.

But the problem is, I don't want him to start earning dose decreases until he stops this bouncing and diving.

+4 and down to 62. Why does he frequently do this on Friday nights???? *LOL* But he's zooming around the house and being a total nut! He loves these low numbers!

+5 and slightly up to 68, but I can't go to bed yet 'cause he could still drop. If he's up again at +6, I can finally go to bed.

+6 and back down to 60. *sigh* I was so hopeful that he was going up.

+7 and he's down to 55. He's killing me with these hours. At least I got a heavenly 5 hours of uninterrupted sleep, in a bed, last night!

+7.5 and he's up to 72. I've been up for 22 hours and he missed a dose reduction by 5 points????? *LMAOPMP*

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.....

It must feel great with these green numbers Pumbba! You love dashing around at home? Surf ON the green boy, no diving.
I am a bad mummy Suze, sometimes I give a bit more food to Rosy so that she can surf instead of going low. Like Pumbba, she's not good with holding reduction. Did you give him yummies ? You've got to figure out a way to take a nap & rest a bit.

Pumbaa - OK, you get the Diving Competition GOLD! Now that you have it, let's quit divin' for a while so Mama can get some rest! Wish we could figure out this HUGE bouncing stuff - it surely can't feel good for them. KT's holding at least the bronze medal....

BIG HUG Suze and hope you can get a bit of GOOD rest soon....

Helen,

You're not a bad Mom...Pumbaa was snarfing down food all night! But it was all low-carb food, and he was burning it off zooming around the house and being a total nut! He's 8-1/2 years-old, but when his numbers are low like last night, he acts like a kitten again!

Had he not gone up at +7.5, I was going to give him some higher-carbed food so that I could get at least a nap in before 7 am testing/feeding/shooting time. As it was, I did get about a 2-1/2 hour nap in.

Lyresa,

I'll gladly give up Pumbaa's Gold for the diving competition, except I don't see many people eagerly standing in line for that award! *LOL*

I, too, wish we could figure out and somehow regulate these bounces and dives. At least if our cats had more consistent nadirs, we could plan around that time and get some sleep, instead of constantly testing trying to find the elusive nadir of the cycle.

Thank you for the hugs...I needed that. Not much time for a good rest this weekend due to a rush deadline I'm on. That's why I gave Pumbaa a BCS this morning.
