Yesterday Neko only did a yellow bouncette followed by a little lagoon dipping at night. In typical Neko fashion, I went to bed on rising blues and got up early to a :mrgreen: . Go pancreas go!

We just got back from seeing Auntie Kim our vetty. Neko had several extractions (b/w and urinalysis) and a quick weigh in. :evil: She has gained quite a bit of weight. I just use a regular scale instead of a baby scale, so was surprised by the results (14.4 lbs). Vet wasn't too concerned. As she says, she likes a cat with some weight on her that you can hug. :lol: I'm not sure how much of that weight is the acro tumor still doing it's thing and how much is too much food. She is larger than Theo (taller/longer) and gets about 20 calories more a day but he plays more. He is slowly losing, she is gaining weight and now weighs more than him and it used to be the other way around. Sigh! She still has a waist but I think I liked the look of her a little thinner.

Neko is sitting beside me, desperately trying to get vetty smell off of her ruff. Must be where they took the blood test from. She was a very good girl at the vetty, always is. Ever since her long road trip to and from Colorado, the quick 10 minute trip to vetty doesn't phase her anymore. She used to complain as soon as she got in a car. I will get the initial b/w results back tomorrow. Free T4 and C&S later next week. Figures Neko would do a pink bouncette on the day when she gets her b/w. ohmygod_smile

Hi Wendy,
I've got fingers and paws crossed for good test results for Neko. I'm sure you'll get her weight back down. (Says the woman with the 17lb cat)
She sure looks good dipping herself in The Lagoon. Overall, those are some pretty great, healing numbers.
Go Neko.. You are the bomb!

Don't worry about that vetty smell Neko.. We'z comin by to pick you up in Maui's jet and we'll get rid of that smell, pronto. ollie

I'm glad everything went well at the vetty. I hope you get good test results back. Furball has slowly gained weight over the last year. She weighs about 14 lbs. now and I can't figure out how to put her on a diet. Since I'm not home during the day when I work, I'm afraid to not leave food out for if she goes low. It's hard to cut back on the amount of food and not worry.

Poor Neko, she's not fat, she's voluptuous. Hope she gets some good test results back. How often do you do the T4? Pepper is due for his first T4 soon and the vet at CSU said to repeat it at 6 months as well.

Neko just has her own private delivery of the favorite goods.....

sounds like she could use some more action toys....
I can send you some of shadow's favorites to see if she likes them..... just got droolers eating them around here any way.

I took a pokie break today, in sympathy of the extra pokies at the vetty, plus she wasn't going anywhere low after that +4.5. :lol: Neko has recovered and just had a good bug hunting session outside.

@Mary - Her weight seems to be related to the seasons, but she hasn't weighed that much for a few years. At her peak she was 15.5 many years ago. Her 2 week average is in the blues, so I'm pretty happy with that.
@Oliver - Thanks for organizing the KTSS. I don't like Theo licking me much. ~Neko

@Carla - I really need to reduce the number of mini meals Neko gets. She doesn't free feed, she wolfs her food. Now if only there was low calorie HC food. :lol:

@Nancy - We prefer full bodied. :lol: I answered the questions about T4 in your condo.

@Rhiannon - The only things Neko will get energetic about are bugs. She'll poke at toys but not really get moving. But she never did even before FD. She's more into bunny kicking her nanners. She hasn't had a break product for a while - hope it stays that way. :lol:

@Deborah - Just like her BG, her body curves the wrong way. :lol:

Bob the Blob once weighed 22 pounds!!! He "slimmed down" to 13 or so when he became diabetic, and now weighs in right around the same weight as Neko does.

Here's a recent photo of him, showing off his "hourglass figure". In Bob's mind, the white pattern on his belly looks sort of like an "hourglass"...
He's "full figured", I think. ;-) If Neko looks any slimmer than this, I think she's in good shape!

She's gorgeous! And looks just like a kitty I had years back named "Hickie". I think Bob looks more "shubby" than your girl. That might just be because he's got no tail, so he doesn't look as "long". :lol:
