Good Morning LL,

Would ya look at that AMPS!!? And I shot his full dose of 18.00 units this morning too, I want to see what Leo can do with his full dose of juice onboard.

We had a good test, shoot and feed this morning and I was woken up to kitties kisses and headbutts about 30 minutes before my alarm went off.

Leo has changed personality wise, he's not as aggressive anymore, both of my parents noticed this as well. He's very chill these days, I wonder did the tumor cause him to be aggressive? I emailed Dr Timian last night to tell her, and also ask if other beans have noticed that kind of change as well.

My sister asked me to go to BC with her as soon as I got off the plane yesterday, I really waffled on going. Her and her DH have a trailer set up at some lake in the mountains and just bought a boat. It's just too soon after SRT for me to want to leave Leo with his DGP'S, so I told her next weekend I'm home I will go. I'd miss Leo too much.

Yes, it has been hot down here, and thankfully we've got a cold front that'll help bring the temperatures down for today and tomorrow, but then we'll be back up to the triples starting on Sunday (Oh, joy!) :lol: Hope you guys aren't suffering too badly where you're at. I hear that the Canadian prairies can be just as brutal.

WOOT! Love that Amps Leo - well done! Work that juice buddy. It is interesting on the personality change - I wonder too if that was tumor related. It will be interesting to see what the DR's/vets say.

I do so love the kitty kisses and head butts. how wonderful. Mannie - take heed! Leo gives kitty kisses and head butts..... :cool:

The time away with your sister sounds so nice, and i so hear you on the reason for waiting.

Leo missed you while you were at work and wanted to give you a nice gift. Suffice it to say, HE SUCCEEDED!!! Awesome AMPS!!! I've been thrilled to have Grayson under 300 for 24 hours! I'd LOVE to see an AMPS (or any other time, for that matter!) in that vicinity!

I know exactly what you mean about leaving them... and I'll be interested to see if Grayson has any kind of personality change. He's always adored Dom (big dog) - used to rub on him, groom him, etc. Not so much of that these days, just laying Sistine Chapel-like paw to paw. He didn't used to have strong feelings one way or the other for Jack (30 pounder), but these past few months, he's been downright mean to him! Bopping him on the head, and making every effort to charge & harrass him. Jack just looks at me as if to say, "Come on mom, you really mean I can't chase him? I gotta stand here and take this abuse???!!!" Jack used to have somewhat of a temper, but he's been really good with Grayson, in spite of the "beatings" he's endured. Maybe he realizes that it's something other than being mean? IDK, but I really have to commend Jack for taking the higher road! Maybe that's just part of the Acro - causing a personality disorder or something. And maybe we'll be getting our loving, sweet, playful kitties back in the coming weeks and months! Hoping so at least!

So enjoy those great numbers! Hopefully no bounces as a result. ...any chance Leo can go camping with you when you go?

Darn! Looks like I shot a rising number this morning, makes me wonder how low he went last night.

I took a look at Grayson's SS, he's doing better on his new dose. Maybe some blues later ok Grayson?

Yes, kitty kisses and headbutts are a wonderful way to wake up :-D

I don't want to cause a fuss or get anyone really worried but we are at the university vet clinic. Leo was vomiting about an hour ago, I don't want to play the waiting game to see if he feels better or vomits again so I just brought him in. He ate a fair amount this morning but not much since then. We just saw a doctor and I gave her Leo's history, she had me palpate his tummy since he wouldn't let her and he got growly with me, I think it's pancreatitis. They took him back for a blood draw, ultrasound and for some fluids. She mentioned prednisolone can cause GI upset but Leo was done his pred on tuesday evening. Will update when I hear some news.

Tracy, I was just reading how well Leo was doing and then down to your last post with Leo not feeling so well.
I'm so sorry, and we're sending healing vines and hope the Vets can find the cause of his distress. I know you'll keep us updated. (((Leo and Tracy)))

Oh Tracy, I'm praying as fast as I can, that this is not pancreatitis, but something easily fixed with a tummy medicine.

Well the snap test and ultrasound came back positive for pancreatitis :( my poor kitty.

I will be getting a whole vial of cerenia, the other nausea med that starts with an o, bupe and she will be giving me fluids to do at home as well.

Apparently he was not very cooperative today.....surprise surprise!!!

(((((Tracy))))) and I would hug Leo but I don't think he would appreciate it. :sad: I am so sorry about the diagnosis. Good thing you took him right in. The anti-nausea drug is ondansetron. Sending healing vines to Leo.

It sounds like you've got all the elements for your pancreatitis kit. I'm sorry Leo doesn't feel well. You really jumped on getting him treated -- good for you!

I'm so sorry and send Leo major healing vines. Sienne is right....you have a good vet and you have all you need.

Oh Tracy, you and Leo can do without pancreatitis! We are so sorry to see this and hope that you can get it under control very quickly. Rusty is out in the yard right now gathering some healing vines to send to his pal, Leo. KTSS chicken soup might taste good to your boy, too.

Thanks everyone for the healing vines you sent to Leo. He certainly seems a lot better than he was this afternoon. He has cerenia, hydromorphone, fluids and odansetron on board and is purring up a storm. I didn't know how well he was going to eat for me and stalled a bit before feeding him, he ate some HC fuds just fine, i haven't given him any insulin yet, i want to wait an hour to see if he's going to keep his supper down. I was surprised to see the 70.

I got the bill at the vetty clinic and just about fell over :shock: :shock: I got a $3.60 charge for an 'aggressive patient handling fee' :lol: :lol: Little do they know i had just posted today about Leo seeming less aggressive than usual.

Thanks for the video Marje, i have to give fluids tomorrow afternoon so i'll watch it just before.

Paws and fingers crossed there is no more barfing for my poor kitty.

aw tracy, i'm so sorry leo's sick. sounds like you've got all the good stuff to make him feel better soon. i sure hope so - we're sending lots of get well wishes to our little buddy.

re the earlier question about aggressiveness - i can't say i noticed that in punkin, but surely if leo has a headache or his bones hurt it might make him cranky and possibly aggressive. i don't know, but it seems reasonable to me. one of the docs, either timian or lunn, told me that the tumor itself doesn't shrink as it dies. the mass itself doesn't change much in size.

Aww...poor Leo and poor you! You guys have been through so much, but you got him in quick and things seem under control.

I hate to say it, but the "aggressive patient handling fee" did give me a giggle. You go, Leo!! P-titus or not, you show 'em who's boss!!

I hope Leo is still purring and feeling good tonight...

Oh poor Leo. You did a great job getting him to the vet so fast for dx. Feel better soon Leo, gotta be well to catch more mousies. Interesting that PMBG - I wonder if you are seeing some SRT magic happening.

I still have to wait to get home to find out about the less aggressive thing. Neko has never been aggressive, except towards civie Theo.

Leo is feeling better tonight, he's eaten almost 2 cans of food since we got home from the vetty, i've been careful to give him just a spoonful at a time and not overdo it. I finally gave him a half dose of insulin an hour and a half late, and he's come up to 142 and he's been eating HC all night.
 
i told DH about the $3.60 fee for being feisty - we're wondering what the vet does with the $3.60. :lol: is that supposed to pay extra to the tech? do they get a bonus of $3.60 per cat that is feisty? or is it supposed to penalize you - so you'll say "bad leo! you cost me $3.60!" hahahahaha i'm sure you'll be spanking Leo because he's so expensive! ;-) :-D
