8/10 Gus PMPS 325/+5=309

Last night Gus kept going lower and lower. I delayed an hour and he was still on his way down, checking in at 76. I gave him some food and 5.5U, thinking that might help. Nope. He was back up at HI this AM. As I said yesterday, the AB must be working because he's back to what he was doing prior to the infection. The 10.5 brings him too low for my comfort and yet, 10.25 isn't quite enough. I'll start shaving his doses to see if that helps. I would think that with an acro kitty, shaving a dose wouldn't affect him so much. The more I learn, the less I know ohmygod_smile

morning bev! i know what you mean - i'd even starting wondering if you had to worry about the volume of insulin displaced by a bubble. you know, if you could not worry about some teeny bubble in a syringe with 14 units of insulin. but . . . seems like it still makes a difference, so i'm diligently getting out the dumb bubbles! :lol:

i've called and left a message with dr lunn's office at colorado state. decided i would at least ask some questions about whether or not punkin would be a good candidate for the SRT. if i weren't so unreasonably attached to him it would sure be easier. after all, he's just a cat, right? just get another one, right? :shock:

the good thing is that you know gus has seen HI before and will say goodbye to it soon enough. i hope he comes down at a reasonable speed today. is his tummy tolerating the baytril ok?

Taking his sweet ol' time today. Hopefully, he'll go to the blues and stay flat for a while. There's supposed to be a break in the humid weather tomorrow. Maybe a bike ride, if Mr. Gus says it's OK.
