I can hardly believe it is the 1st of August! ohmygod_smile Liz is out on a bike ride this morning so no LL Gazette. I'm putting up the condo and have no journalistic skills. :lol: :roll: :lol:

Looks like the big guy had a nice steady blue all night into his AMPS. We thought the number at +1 was perhaps a bit of a food spike but maybe not. We were laughing at ourselves this morning when we said "183 is a little high, maybe we shouldn't have shaved", a year ago we would have said "oh my, 183 is a little low, should we shoot"? The beans are making progress! :lol:

Hi guys .. :lol: to funny on the beanz progress, but I totally understand .. I remember shooting my first yellow and nearly having a panic attack .. having everyone tell us we'd be shooting greens in no time, I thought for sure they were crazy! Good thing mocha gave us plenty of practice shooting into the pinks .. and yellows .. an occasional blue .. before ever giving up those sweet greens :-D

I'm right there with you on the making progress. Everything is relative...Pretty BLUE, but maybe a little green soon???

Missed the Gazette today. Having to do the legwork for myself :lol:

It wasn't that long ago I shot my first blue. I am so in awe of you two and your BOS shooting green so regularly. And it seems to be mostly in the evenings too. I wondering if he is sliding in that direction again today.

Hi Anne, little Zener is looking good today. I know, it is fun to look back at our old posts when kitties were first diagnosed. I know a lot of patience was needed with me. Have a wonderful day and happy 1st of August.

@Devon - I thought people were nuts too for saying we would be shooting greens. :o I think bean breakthrough came when Zener was in mid greens one cycle and Liz decided stalling was too much trouble. :shock: :lol:

@Wendy - you are making rapid progress! :razz: If you look back at Zener's SS, you will see it took us quite a long time to be able to shoot greens. Appy has been such a struggle with Zener that it was difficult to shoot low, if we couldn't get him to eat. Who knows what tonight will bring? Zener does love his slide. ;-)

@Ann & Maggie - we are thinking today is a little bounce for the big guy. Where are those patience pants? :cool:

Looks like the mighty Z is celebrating the US women's gold medal in gymnastics with a bouncy floor routine of his own. flip_cat

Just had some BIG excitement - Tillie, our civvie, caught a finch off our backyard fountain! Liz encouraged her to practice "catch and release". She is VERY pleased with her hunting prowess and a little smug. :twisted:

Nice blues for Zener today! The summer has flown by for sure. August already! Did you say Happy Tuesday?? Please tell me it's Wednesday!

@Ann & Tess - spotty connections can be so frustrating. :evil: The big guy seems to be going up the slide instead of down today. We have paws crossed this is just a bounce and not the new shaved dose. Patience pants donned!

@Melissa & Mr T - good catch on the day of the week, the outrageous heat in T-town isn't affecting your brain function one bit! :razz: It is indeed Wednesday. Thanks for the welcome home, Zener has been giving me lots of greens lately as a welcome home.

@Amy - thanks for giving Zener the proper directions. Maybe he will listen to you! ;-)

All is well in Zener's domain today. We've had a little break from the monsoonal moisture so no rain today. The yard is drying out already so the kitties can do full patrol without getting paddy paws damp. Tillie is acting quite smug tonight after her successful bagging of a bird today. She practices "catch and release" (with the encouragement of MamaLizBean). Zener is trying to act like he doesn't care. :cool:

Hope everyone has safe travels to the full moon party - the Sturgeon Moon. I am sure fish will be the topic of the party and a great time will be had by all the kitties!

Hi Anne, Hi Liz - Zener - dude - what's up? Kinda nice and easy day for you, huh. Not a bad day at all. Mannie's was so similar until pmps. silly boy went postal pink. I keep telling him it is not his color....

When I first came here, Moonie wouldnt let me home test her, so I did urine testing for 10 mths!
Shooting blind now that's BOS!!! Now I realize how CRAZY that was..Moonie was a wild one then..
Now Like a little lamb?

@Roni - Wow on the urine testing! That's some dedication! :-D The first couple of months after Zener was diagnosed and he was on Humulin, I didn't do any home testing. We went to the vet once a week. We had one hypo episode and then started home testing shortly after. I remember watching the video of Buddy, two sticks for Buddy, and thought Zener would never ever purr during a test. cat_pet_icon

Looks like I'll be napping and getting another test tonight. ~O) @-) ~O)
