Three weeks on Lantus and the the last three days have been his highest numbers ever. Feeling VERY discouraged. Any advice on these high numbers?

Yesterday Ozy was at his highest readings ever. Upped the dose a fat quarter last night (quilters like fat quarters). His numbers were high enough to warrant a .5 increase but the board was down and I was afraid to go too much alone.

Except for some pancreatitis issues, he has been feeling pretty darn good. Overall, best he has felt in a very long time.... affectionate, alert, engaged, playful, curious. Maybe the preceding lower numbers let his cells get enough nourishment to buoy him up. Hope he comes down today, he is starting high again.

Turned blue at +6...hope he stays down.

I'm glad to hear Ozy is feeling good! I felt bad on Tuesday night because I did come back to see how you were doing after shooting lower - or tried to - and the board was down. So I was thinking of you and hoping you were able to handle things all right - which obviously you were, good job :-D

Fat quarter . . . love it . . . maybe the cats do quilting, too, except I think they're usually working on a crazy quilt?? Mine definitely likes lots of colours in the mix!

Thanks, Amy... I was looking for you, too. I felt like I'd been shut out of the magic portal. It was lonely and scary.


Why was the board down? What happened? Does it happen often?

I've seen the site go down from time to time, briefly, but never for a whole day. I believe I saw a remark somewhere that the admin was out of town with limited internet access so couldn't get it back up quickly. Did you see the In Case of Outages - Facebook Group post today? If you're on Facebook it's a backup place to get some help if the board is down.

Hi Donaleen,

I was thinking yesterday about how I would have been panicking if it was at the beginning of my Cleo's dx. You said it just right, lonely and scary. So glad you and Ozy made it back into the "magic portal!" And happy that he is feeling better, even if his numbers are not as low as you like.

Thanks, Amy and Jane....I hope things don't get so desperate that I have to go to Facebook. Hate Facebook. They gave me a virus my virus checker could not get rid of and the virus checker rendered the browser inoperable... blah blah blah.
