After Mac's low/high BG scares over the weekend and at the vet hospital before, I am happy that we are staying out of the 400/500s today and not dipping too low on 2units twice daily since yesterday. He is now 10 days post-DKA/pancreatitis diagnosis and has been home since Friday night. Ketones are down to 0.1mmol/L today from 0.2 over the weekend (confirmed accuracy of the monitor by having my diabetic dad try it and my other diabetic cat as well, both got different numbers). Mac is eating small meals of pretty much entirely Fancy Feast pate frequently, drinking well, bathing frequently, using the Litter Robot and mostly resting comfortably on a fleece blanket he adores. I am hopeful we are finally at a dose that keeps him regulated without going too high or too low.
