Hello Everyone - We arrived in Fort Collins early afternoon (Aunt Mary is quite a chauffeur). We've had no problems just tired & surprised by the rain and blustery weather. We are staying at the Marriott Residence Inn on Oakridge Drive, about 15 minutes from the vet hospital where our appointment is tomorrow at 8 AM local time. We had a hard time making a reservation last week because of a softball competition all this week. After several rejections, I found a reference to the Marriott on the CSU web site. When I called, the staff was totally supportive & even though they were packed, they would see what they could do. The next day, the Marriott confirmed reservations for us, I was so thankful. Today as we checked-in, there must be hundreds of little girl softball players running around everywhere. Our room was not ready so we waited a bit in the lobby. When we did register, we were told we had been upgraded to a 2-bedroom suite because the studios had been over sold. We have a FABULOUS room. I'll be taking pictures--Lanky has already made himself at home. BTW - the staff at the Marriott are so accommodating to pets being treated at CSU. I can't say enough about their attitudes and obvious caring for these situations.
Our evening routine was the regular - I wish I had re-tested the PMPS because it seems out of whack - we did drop the ice chest with the insulin in it, & last night's hotel room room refrigerator froze the cat food but the insulin was on the next lower shelf. It seems OK but maybe not. Anyway, I just did not want to be poking Lanky any more. Lanky must fast from midnight on, water is OK, & he will receive 1/2 his regular dose of 12u Levemir at his regular time of 6 AM PDT. Monday should be a full day of evaluation & planning of the SRT treatments.
Good night to all of you & your sweet kitties.
