Chino had a decent response to R today, so I expect the +2 will be higher than the PMPS. This is the 2nd cycle on 13 units. I hope he's able to come back down to green before the end of the 6th cycle.

PMPS = 299, R-influenced (3rd meal LC 5%)
[2nd cycle on 13 units Lantus]
+2 = 222
+4 = 117 (4th meal LC 5% w/2 tsp gravy from MC 15%)

Chino snorts when he's impatient. :rolleyes: Looks like I'm staying up for a +5 and possibly a +5.5. Fortunately, I'd intended to get 12 hours of sleep tonight, so I already took the first dose and got 4 hours of sleep between PMPS and +4. The last time I took him up to 13 units, his BG plummeted on the 2nd cycle, so if it's another battle tonight, I might take him down to 12.75 units tomorrow morning and see how he does with that.

Hold it steady Chino - no funny stuff. I hope the vet finds something on cabergoline. There is no published research on it being used on cats with acromegaly, until next month. She can always contact RVC.

That slowed him down by half the rate he was dropping before! :) Gave 1 tsp food, 1 tsp gravy. If he's still above 70 at +6, I'll probably give 2 tsp gravy and go to bed until +8... but I'd feel better if he's above 75.

I was going to say the same thing, had I sent you a copy of the email I had gotten from RVC with the dosing instructions?

+6 = 79... mission accomplished! (3 tsp MC 15%)

The last snack slowed his drop by a little more than half the pace, so even if this wears off after an hour, he's a very safe 29 mg/dL above 50, and I'll be checking again at +8.
