Morning all.
Today is day 10 without insulin.
Monkey’s numbers have been stable.
70-100 mostly!
Her diet now consists of 75% raw Darwin’s and 25% ff pate or weruva with pumpkin and a 1/8th tsp miralax and I still add water.
Neg ketones.
Voiding and pooping regularly.
Weight stable 13.2-13.4 lbs.
Shiny and fluffy beautiful fur.
Extremely engaged, active and playful. Her favorite toy this week is a wiggle worm on a stick and after breakfast she brings me her toy to play! I chose to go back to bed this morning and she brought her toy into our bed!
Now that things have settled somewhat (with her), she has an appointment at UF with Dr. Gilor sept 3, so I can gain some insight on acro/ hst/ IAA. Mostly for disease management as she progresses.
I’m ready to help her with insulin if needed.
I continue to test her at shot times and a few sporadic tests to check pancreas function after meals.
She’s back to being my cheeky little monkey! Hence the name “Chicamonkey”
God bless you all and all of your Kitty kats

I'd continue with regular blood work and urinalysis, monitor her heart, at some point an echocardiogram if you can swing it. But no urgency unless vet hears a murmur. The organs with most common impacts are heart, kidneys, bowels. If she starts slowing down, arthritis is also a common side effect.
