Good morning, LL!
Yesterday
Mr. Howell seems to be doing fine with the dose reduction. I have been letting him 'roam' the apartment the past week because usually he is shut in the kitchen during the night, where he doesn't have a bed or anywhere comfy and usually sleeps on a wooden chair. THIS IS BECAUSE HE CAN'T HAVE ANYTHING NICE. cat(2)_steam cat(2)_steam cat(2)_steam I have spent so much $$ on nice beds, then cheap beds, then towels and home-made pillows, and all have been thrown away because he is guaranteed to pee on it within 3 days and then never stop peeing on it. He can't sleep with us on our bed because he will literally pee on me in my sleep.
He was doing so awesome this week and then I awake to see an ocean of kitty pee under the coffee table... back into the kitchen at night for YOU, mister. Hey it's not my fault, you have a perfectly new and clean litter box, but nooo.
Sorry for the rant, it's just that he has pretty much ruined every rug in our house and we've had to replace our comforter because he decides everything belongs to him and he's going to pee on it. :YMSIGH:

Re: 8/07 Mr. Howell AMPS 207

You poor thing....you AND Mr. Howell!!!! Have you checked with the vet to make sure it's not a medical reason as to why he has inappropriate peeing? If it's behavioral, maybe there's someone on the board who has had to deal with this and can give you advice on how to get him to change his behaviors. That would be very frustrating. I know Tarragon will pee in Melissa's son's room because he has carpet in there and she's had to replace all the carpet in her house with laminate flooring because of inappropriate peeing. You have to wonder what is going through their little peabrains to pee on their own bed!!

At least Mr. Howell's AMPS is looking good. Here's to a blue day!!!

Re: 8/07 Mr. Howell AMPS 207

Patty, I've had it looked to by a few vets since it has been going on since we adopted him, but I am 99% sure that it is behavioral. After I adopted him, the first chair I set him down in my old apartment was from that moment on Mr. Howell's Chair. It was the only place he would sit for a very long time. Then it became the only place he would pee... so we had to get rid of it. That has gone on with EVERY object he thinks is his, including me (  ) - it's only sort of funny because Mr. Howell started only peeing on my BF's stuff after we moved in together, and only things that were left on the floor (my BF's shirts, backpack, LAPTOP...)... so the DBF is a million times better about picking up after himself now.
This morning he peed directly on a peacock feather that we have been playing with and I left on the floor (I should have known)... the last time was in the kitchen, and he peed on his new mousey toy.. He will pretty much go for whatever he thinks belongs to him, unfortunately that includes any kind of sleeping setup I had planned for him. And it usually only happens during the night, which is why we keep him in the kitchen, where his litter box is, and then we usually don't have a problem (except he did pee on the brand new fridge the first night it was there)

Re: 8/07 Mr. Howell AMPS 207

oh my gosh! I am giggling here a bit, not funny, but I can relate,..our civvie kitty will poop on DBF's things if the LB is not cleaned to her liking.
I keep telling him, pick up your clothes! lol!

I'm sorry thou, Mr H - what a little bugger you are!!
I guess he has a certain kind of pissy attitude huh?
the fridge looked at him the wrong way cat(2)_steam

Try a cross post in the health forum for thoughts on this, its possible someone on the board may have some options.

It's a nice AMPS anyway, barely yellow

  I laughed so hard at that picture... Yes he thinks he can pee everywhere! It is his kingdom..
PMPS 112. Mr. Howell still manages to win my heart even though he ruins my stuff. I didn't do a cycle today because I wanted to take the day away from FD, so there.
I hope everyone has a great night!

Wow his numbers are looking great. I can't imagine your frustration...that must be really aggravating. He's lucky he has you....you should remind him often.
