Well he's much lower now. Too low even. I haven't updated his spreadsheet in a few days. Will try to get to that but I'm sleeping on and off with bronchitis/laryngitis. Dragged myself out of bed to do his shot routine and found a 77. Nothing unusual since I've upped his dose to 2u. To give you a picture of what you would see on his spreadsheet, every AM and PM has been in the 200s including night tests. Only off number was a mid to low 300 yesterday morning and I suspected a bounce. I reduced his dose by 0.25 this morning so he got 1.75u.

Which method are you following?
Tight Regulation
Start Low, Go Slow

Please put it in your signature when you have a chance.

For both methods, dose adjustments are 0.25 units (eyeballed) up or down so that the best dose isn't missed. Going too big may result in wide swings and out of control glucose.
 
I hope you are planning on monitoring Diego closely today if you shot a 77 am pre-shot which is lower than any other pre-shot to date. He may have gone even lower during the night so I would strongly suggest you monitor with multiple tests through today to ensure he doesn't go too low. If he did go lower last night, he could be even more sensitive to the insulin.
 
I think the pre shot was influenced to some degree by his off feeding schedule last night. I put their food down earlier than I usually do because I went to bed early. So he has likely been without food for a while to keep that number up until I got up to feed him at 7 this morning. They always have food available to them usually until an hour or so before his next shot. They both do a great job grazing.
 
Food may have played a role in that number to some degree but 77 is a normal number for a non-diabetic cat and it's substantially lower than he has been running so I'd suspect the insulin had something to do with it.
