Well, last night at +6 he was at 246, so the .8 really does nothing for him, imho.
This morning I went back to a f .8 so I can get some movement going and maybe I'll a .9 from there.
amps 324
+3 121
maybe I should feed the drop again?
Just seems like when I did that before, he didn't get the results I was looking to achieve.
Stop the drop, level him off, and surf for a *little* bit. But, it stopped the drop, and bumped his bg back up and he never got the *hang time*.
Of course, that was on a regular .8 dose, so maybe this one drop would make all the difference in the world?
Sue, after reading your post about the tid with such a low dose, I got to thinking, it probably wouldn't be that great an idea because each dose would be such a small amount that it may not be enough to get him in a nice range. I can see how a drop can influence his numbers now, but that is a "drop" that is being added to a larger amount. Tiny drops of insulin by themselves probably wouldn't work to well.
I could be wrong, of course (wouldn't surprise me), but that just seems to make sense. Is that kinda what you were thinking too?
Right now though, I am just curious if I should go ahead and feed him a tiny amount. He very well could get a little longer "ride" today than he has, and by feeding him, I could ruin his chance at a good day. OR, with the extra drop of insulin and the food, it could do exactly as intended, OR, I could do nothing and have the same results as feeding the drop and having him bump back up to yellow all day.
Any suggestions? Now will be the time I want to feed him if I go that route.
