Well, well, look who is full of surprises this morning. :D First test was 66, didn't think I had enough blood so tested again. And of course I am planning on disappearing for part of the day to continue chair reupholstering with a friend. The next test will be telling. DH will be in and out anyway.

Ocean breezes help clear the air in the evening, though it's still not back to normal - weather forecast today is widespread smoke. Little Missy Neko insisted on going out yesterday after dinner. She only goes out for a few minutes so I figured it was OK. She did her usual tour around the house - and discovered that the neighbours new dog isn't so cat friendly as the previous one. :rolleyes:

We've had some good purrs this morning. Neko was doing the face/paw lick thing when I gave her the shot and I don't think she even noticed it. Then we finished with a good acupressure cuddle session.

Lovely start for Miss Neko! Hope you got your chair done, Wendy! Mind popping over to DC to take care of one of mine, next? I don't feel like lugging it down the block to the shop on my street. :smuggrin:
 
Looks like Neko went a little overboard in the permission slip today. o_O

Carla, Liz, Lori, Marilyn, Patricia - Looks like she surfed all right, but not before hopping on her yellow surfboard. :rolleyes: I was at a friends place that has a fabulous view, and we could see quite a bit further than we did on Monday. Still hazy though. "Only" 201 active fires in BC today. :eek: Forecast for showers on the weekend is still there. :)
@Patricia & Noodle - It was dining room chairs - 6 of them. Got all finished but the last two which are far enough along for my friend to finish by herself.
 
Doing a rain dance this end for you Wendy, hope you get some downpours real soon.

Bet that was a surprise for Neko when she encountered the unfriendly dog, but she won't get caught out again.
 
Never really thought about Canada having bush fires..being such a cold country..we never hear about your fires there. We hear about fires in California but that is about all.
I am often astounded at the number of bush fires burning at any one time here too. It is awful really. We don't normally get them in winter.

Poor Neko with a not cat friendly dog....give it a few clouts over the nose and it will soon keep away Neko.
 
The dog was on the deck of the house next door - no chance of meeting up. Neko's not used to unfriendly dogs, the old one next door was a nose toucher.
@Bron and Sheba - We have a lot of forest. Worlds largest boreal forest and a lot of forest exports. Most of our fires don't involve burning houses, so don't make the news.
 
Hey Neko!! Head on down the the Lagoon Campground! You missed the volleyball tournament but we're just about ready to start cooking those S'Mores and sing some great campfire songs, so come along down!! We got logs for everybody to sit on and lots of sticks to roast marshmallows with!

Neko, what were you doing on the express elevator to the yellow floor? Did you get on the wrong one? Never mind, I see you finally hit the "down" button. Hurry, or you'll miss all the fun on the beach. Cinco is making short work of those s'mores.

OMG, 201 fires???? And I thought we had it bad in CA! Sending rain vines!
