Good morning LL!

Junior was a little surprised this morning. As usual he knew it was pokey time and started walking toward the bedroom door for his favorite hiding spot. I watched as he stopped in his tracks: "What da heck? The bedroom door is closed! What am I gonna do?"

You gonna get poked, June.

For those of you who missed it the other day, Junior's vet said he had a cute butt. Binks sent a picture of his money maker and said I'll show you yours if you show me mine!

This is for you Binks!

I told Gabby and Gizmo that our mutual vet thinks Junior has a cute butt. They're jealous. Dr. P has never commented on their respective posteriors!

Re: 7/9 Junior AMPS 105

LOL! and a cute butt indeed! I was going to add a photo of Mannie's, but he keeps pressing the delete key... Love junior's photo: funny, cute and he is just a handsome boy!

Too funny on the aborted escape.

have a great day guys - Junior is off to a great start.

Re: 7/9 Junior AMPS 105

looking good!

I know you had a conversation with your vets this week about stopping insulin. I'm glad to see that you are still shooting! While going OTJ right away might have worked, we usually do see stronger remissions when insulin is removed more gradually once the cat is surfing pretty much all green. Which brings me to my suggestion... Junior's numbers actually looked better on 0.5 than they do on 0.25. If he were mine, I would consider adding a drop to his dose to see if I could pull the blue preshots back down to green. I don't think I would increase all the way to 0.5, just fatten the 0.25. What do you think?

Re: 7/9 Junior AMPS 105

Libby I think you're trying to make me go blind!

All kidding aside, I'm glad Junior's still getting his shots. Knowing he's in the blues, shooting insulin gives me a peace of mind.

I'm glad you brought this up b/c I was thinking along those same lines too. He was on .5u forever and then got a reduction at the drop of a hat when his +12/PMPS on 6/29 was 48. At .5u, he wasn't in the greens for too long before he got the reduction. Depending on his BG tonight I'll fatten it up.

Thanks for the advice!

Re: 7/9 Junior AMPS 105

Hey Bonnie:

Junior is looking really great. Good luck if you decide to shave a dosecrease up.

Seems as though you've found a way to outsmart the cat at pokey time!!   Not always easy to do in this house with Teddi....she can tell when it's med times by hearing us do the prep!  How she can tell the difference in the microwave from us warming her "soup" and warming Gracie's rice sock, I will never know!

Re: 7/9 Junior AMPS 105

I can't see the picture of Junior's butt either and I was quite looking forward to it!!!

He's looking fabulous, as usual, in the numbers game. I just have a feeling his days here are numbered.

Hope your day is going great!!

Re: 7/9 Junior AMPS 105 +12 86 Dosing Help?

I'm going to shoot the 86 with a regular .25u (not the fat .25u that Libby and I talked about earlier today). Will test to make sure he stays up.

Hopefully this is the right decision!

Re: 7/9 Junior AMPS 105 +12 86 Dosing Help?

I think it's fine. See how the cycle goes tonight. Junior was probably reading his condo and wanted to show you he could have a green pre-shot (if he wants to!).

Re: 7/9 Junior AMPS 105 +12 86

Awesome! Thanks Sienne! Was feeling a little gun shy when I saw the 86 (even tested him twice) and then thinking about how both vets said I was over treating him.

Not sure why hiz butt picture isn't coming up butt herez da link. Hopefully that'll work!
