I wished I could have gotten an earlier bg as I bet she was in the 80's and I could have a dosecrease, but maybe not...I know, Pat! :YMSIGH: Maggie just loves this furry mouse on a pole toy, and will stare at it until I pick it up and start playing with her.

NICE Miss Maggie! Be a good girl, and give you mama a nice green surf today. Awfully nice morning for Maggie!

Ann, I've been studying your spreadsheet. Maggie's numbers are sooooooo good. It seems like the few times she has been higher are days that you mention trying a different food. Is there any way you can try to stick with just her regular food for the next 2-3 days to see if maybe those other foods really are affecting her numbers? Maybe pick two flavors that she likes that you don't think spike her blood sugar, and feed only those for a few days.

She's so close to an OTJ trial, but seeing if she can stay out of the 140's would make me feel better about it. Her target range is 80-130 and she is there *almost* all the time, but she's getting just enough of those little spikes to make me not sure about a trial.

Thanks for studying my SS Libby. I really appreciate it. Yes, I will be around all weekend and will make sure she just eats Sophisticat Chopped Grill and the Seafood Dinner (also by Sophisticat and very lc). She does love these two flavors. I found some Pure Bites freeze dried chicken breast treats that I sprinkle on top, and she eats the all of the food with this topping. Then I give her just a teeny amount of Gerber or Beechnut bf on the tip of a spoon as a reward for being so good with the ear prick. It hasn't seemed to affect her bg, and she will stare at me until I give it to her.

I think the days she was high may have been was when I was trying the FF Salmon, also Sophisticat Salmon doesn't agree with her, so I'll nix those two. I won't give her the Purina DM dry either. Thanks again.

You might want to think of something other than baby food. I noticed Gabby's number were higher with it. It's probably at least 7% carb due to the cornstarch.

Hi Sienne,
The one I've been using is Gerber Chicken & chicken gravy, Stage 1 small jar, 2.5 oz., 2g carbs total jar. A jar probably lasts a week if I reward her with both ear pricks and shots. Sometimes she's too sleepy to notice if I withhold. The other one is a Beechnut Stage 1 Chicken with Broth, 0 carbs, 2.5 oz jar. I think the jars for older babies may have more carbs. You're right though as the Gerber bf does have cornstarch whereas the Beechnut bf just has finely ground chicken and chicken broth only. Hard to believe this one with no carbs. She likes the latter one, too! She's a big baby! :-D

Re: 7/9 Ann & Maggie AMPS 94; +6 110

Maggie had some Sophisticat Chopped Grill with a sprinkle of chicken dust, so I'm not sure what time she had her lunch re the 110 bg.
