Yesterday http://www.felinediabetes.com/FDMB/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=74556 was a pink and yellow kind of day. Neko zoomed up to red before bed, allowing me to get almost 8 hours sleep. Not sure what caused that, but I sure appreciated it.

Late start to the condo today. We upped the dose but I've been busy and just getting in front of the computer. After the high start I set the autofeeder and went rowing, joining the millions of boats on the water today. First warm sunny Sunday this year (it seems) and everyone had the same idea. Kayaks, canoes, surf skis, paddle boards, sailboats, power boats, wakeboarders, water skiers, tug boats with barges - the ocean and beach where we launch was packed. DH was coaching today - so he got on the water (zodiac boat) in spite of his burned fingers, which are starting to dry up. After being on the water for 2 hours with just a 1/2 apple to eat, I know why our kitties are sleepy with low blood sugar!

Neko is currently in the solarium debating going outside or napping. She did join me downstairs in the cool for a while for a good purr/scritching session, but warm afternoons are best spent napping. I just checked the solarium, napping won the debate.

PMPS 214
I wonder if she touched blue sometime today. I hope she can do something with this. More than half of the yellow PS have then gone up. Prove me wrong Neko!

Neko spent quite a bit of time before dinner outside, first under the magnolia tree watching birds, and then out in the back yard watching me rake moss. I can tell she is feeling better because is she spending more time enjoying the outdoors and actually getting exercise!

@Lu-Ann - summer has finally showed up. We set a record for low average temperature in June so we want to hang onto this for a while. Warm for us means the 80s so it's all relative. We don't have AC here.

@Pip - I hope you managed to get out and enjoy today. I picked strawberries and sugar snap peas in the garden today, what a difference a little warmth makes. And we do have yellows, but I hope for at least blue tonight!

Re: 7/8 Neko PMPS 214

Sounds wonderful weather there! So Neko's enjoying more when he's in the yellow? Canbe he 's used to that sugar level which makes it harder to convince him to come down. But anyway, as long as he's eating, healthy & happy, it's a comfort to us. I am more alert when Rosy's wearing a red or purple. ohmygod_smile
Hope Neko comes down into the blue with all that outdoor exercise. Didnt they say, diabetic human should exercise more? I think it's same for our sugar babies.
Come Neko! Rosy's in the green waiting for you!

Re: 7/8 Neko PMPS 214

looks like our boys chose the yellow floor to meet up on! hope they surf 'sensibly' tonight.... :lol: :lol: like that's ever going to happen!!!

did get a chance to enjoy the weather, had a dressage clinic all weekend with my coach, and I got to ride Ro both days, as well as Harvey. Ro was the star, he was so very very very good and so much fun. Hubby rode him for part of a lesson too, and even hopped on Harvey and lived to tell the tale (I was a nervous wreck the whole time he was on!).... we were in a nice indoor so it was cool and shady, but rest of the time inbetween was spent on the deck at home or in the hammock in the yard with the cats. glorious weather. supposed to be nice for the rest of the week too!

Might be time to get the coffee on! Now if only I drank coffee. Maybe some nice Oolong tea we got from Chongqing last year. I am officially impressed by this dose so far.

@Helen - yes, the exercise might be helping. We are now in blue. She feels much happier and more like exercising once she gets down into yellows. It helps that there are more bugs out now and she loves chasing and eating them.

@Marje - she's listening and I don't think she'll stop at blue.

@Julie - a very nice PS for Neko and first time two yellow PMPS's one after each other in the spreadsheet.

@Pip - race you down Rupie! In a hammock in the yard with cats sounds divine! Sunshine forecast to next Saturday. Yeah!
