Good morning! Thanks again for all the support and well wishes for Chi Chi yesterday. She was so good at the vet yesterday, despite all they did to her. They all commented on how sweet she was, and one tech called her "majestic":cat:. Its sinking in a bit more now, and I just wish I didnt have to put her through this:(. Im sure I will be a mess next Friday. Today she is doing fine, seems perfect even. Im off to work now, and will update tonight.

She went hiding after the +2.5 this am. Mom fed her at normal times. The vet never called me today, so hopefully she will tomorrow with the lab results. She is curled up in her little bed right now with a full tummy:cat:

I hate waiting for those calls. Laura, is this a young vet? From some of your comments I wonder how much experience she has and I think you said your regular vet left?

@tiffmaxee . No she has been there for a really long time. I keep thinking in the back of my mind that I need to ask more questions about the mass.At first she just wanted to keep an eye on it, and when she aspirated and looked at the slide(for a long time she said), she saw some things that changed her mind and confirmed it when she referred to some medical journal she had. She is the vet who about 7 years ago or so, removed a mass from Misty(drooler). It was only supposed to be a small incision, but when I picked her up later, it was a very long one, and she said there was a lot of scar tissue and she just kept removing more and more to get it all. It was of course nothing after all that, and has since grown some more. I really felt terrible putting her through that. She had said after aspirating it that it looked suspicious and should be removed. Kinda what she said about this mass. Im probably stressing too much the more I keep thinking about it. I am just at the mercy of what she tells me I guess.
Edit- and yes her regular vet not there since about a month or so

Would you feel more comfortable getting a second opinion from a different practice? Or do you think she's good and you're just stressing because any mass is scary? It's so hard being at their mercy. :bighug:

I think she is a good vet..very smart. One Dr. that I used to go to exclusively there, is not there anymore( I was dating him) said that she made him look stupid..meaning she was very smart, and I can tell she is. I guess I'm just scared. The bottom line is, I want the mass gone, malignant or not, so will get it done, and go from there.
