Morning and holding Kathie and Zeus close in thought and prayers.

Mags had a strange day yesterday choosing to do her small dive at the end of the day. It was the food, as I mentioned in yesterday's condo.
We still need prezzie vines. I think I may need to give extra Miralax today even if it does cause some loose stool. Mags did an out of the box pee last night. I had paper towels and pee pads around the entrance. I didn't clean it up first thing, so then she went and pee'd on another clean spot :? I should have cleaned the first pee up right away but thought I could get a couple of coffee in first. She didn't want to step on the wet pee pads. Her appy is good, so I'm thankful there.
Do any of you know if there are no entry LB's where the kitty can just walk in and doesn't have to lift her feet? I know litter would scatter everywhere, but it might be a solution.
Have a nice day.

Good Morning, Ann & Mags,

Sending prezzie vines; sending pee- in- the- box vines!! (I've never seen a "walk-in" litterbox, but you could probably make one by cutting down the front of the box (all of the hi-back litterboxes have a low "entry" at the front. If you can get something to make a clean cut and then tape it to make it smooth, that might work.

Have a good day and, Maggie, let's have a good poop today, OK? The inspector will want to see some results!

Hugs and scritches,

Ella & Rusty

Still sending those poo vines. It is great that her appy is good....c'mon, Maggie, where are ya hiding the poo?

I seem to recall, maybe when I belonged to another pet forum years ago, that people would cut down the very large storage containers for kitties who had a hard time stepping over the edge of a box. If you use a really big one, maybe that will help keep the litter rounded up, and it will give her lots of room to position herself.

Detective Poo here, checking on the Mags. Sending my strongest prezzies vines. We buy storage containers and cut out a low opening. Maybe you could cut more openings or a bigger opening. I saw in the paper today that there are web businesses where you can hire people to do small tasks. This one is TaskRabbit but they are not in San Diego yet.

Hi Ann

Do you have anything to make a little short ramp to walk up? I cut down big storage boxes, but it's a giant pain....in the hands and shoulders.
But that would make it harder for her to step out of. Bummer.
You would also need something like a hack saw. A serrated knife wouldn't do it for me.

Sweet Mags, sure is consistent, with her morning dips. I say that every day.

Have a nice Sunday, Ann

ETA....Booda makes one. I couldn't get the video to work. If you Google litter box with ramp...or something similar, there are interesting things to see....even home made.

Mags is back to her normal routine after throwing all of us off yesterday. She's been eating some Renal LP, so I'm surprised she's not higher. On Wednesday my vial will be six months old, and I'll get a refill. It was a challenge to see if it would last six months.

Thanks Amy, Ella, Detective Poo, Liz, Barb for all the poo vines and helpful information on a no entry LB. I thought some here used the containers and just cut a hole. Thanks for that link, Barb. I'll check it out. Task Rabbit sounds like something I would use.
I was down in the laundry room, and one of my neighbors wants to adopt two kitties, so I was giving him info on the deposits, etc. It costs $400.00 per pet, so he would need to come up with $800.00, kind of high!
Anyway, when I returned, Mags did a #1 pee, but this time did get some in the box and some on the pee pad, No # 2 though!

Re: 7/7 Maggie AMPS 166; +3 80: +5 110

Hi Ann. Nice numbers for Maggie but I'm sorry to hear the poo fairy hasn't visited yet. Concerning your LB question, we use a plastic storage container that I cut an opening in. If you get a thick one you should be able to cut an opening wide and low enough for Magie to get in and out very easily, a Rubbermaid possibly. One other less expensive option is to go to Home Depot and look at the concrete mixing pans. They are plastic and are various sizes , some very low to the ground. If you want something a little bigger in size look at the drip pans that are used under the coil units of an air conditioner installed in attics. Also check PetSmart's dog section. They often have doggie LB for small puppies. Here are a few pics of what I'm talking about.

As you probably know I am technically challenged so I hope the photo links work and the info helps some.

Have a great day Ann.

EDITED: Sorry I forgot to tell you that if you decide to use a storage container you should put some trim over the rough edges of the cut out section so Maggie doesn't get scratched. Here is a link to some for sale on eBay. You can get various colors. It's used a lot on the edges of car doors for protection against chips.

It looks like Maggie is having a nice day today. I hope you can find something to use for a low entrance lb for Maggie.

I can't decide which is most worrisome - poor appy, litter box problems or high numbers. Paws crossed Mags has some action soon, and her aim improves. I don't blame her for not wanting to get her paddy paws damp on a wet piddle pad. ;-)

Hi Ann,

Sending MEGA POO vines for Maggie! I don't know about walk in LB, but here is a pic of the LB I made for a friend's cat. I think several people do this (ok, maybe not the decorating, but still...you get the idea!) :-D
