Uh oh...Luci wearing that god-awful pink rang...I have a bad feeling that she went off to the lagoon and possibly shark chasing last night - DH bailed on her after the last check at 4+; said he was too tired to stay up - he should have told me to set my alarm - but I hadn't coached him to do that (hate to say it, but DH's gotta be reminded every time about this kind of thing!)...maybe he thought he was going to get up again later? He often does for various reasons - can't sleep - hungry, etc. So I think this is a big bounce this morning - let's see what she does later today.

We're going to visit my SIL today - she had a double mastectomy about 10 days ago and is just now up to visitors and getting out - we're meeting at Nordstrom's for lunch. Poor thing learned this week that she is going to have to endure three or four rounds of chemo as the cancer was a particularly aggressive kind and hence she can't take any chances of it having spread to other areas. She's BRACA positive so this is her third dance with cancer...I feel so badly for her and want to support her however we can...it's a horrible time and we're all here rooting for her.....

At any rate - everyone have a great Sunday - may your kitties be well and safe today!

Thoughts and prayers for your SIL; what a brave woman who needs to fight hard again to beat this thing!

Hope Luci sees some blues/greens today and surfs safely for you:D:cool:

Looks like Mowgli and Luci are “pal”in around in their pink attire... I hope they both slide down today :) at lead let’s go to the beach

It’s so rough that your SIL has to deal with cancer, she is so lucky to have a family support system to help her through. Your support will give her extra strength during a time she needs it most. I hope everything goes well with her treatment and that she’s feeling better soon:bighug:

If you saw my post yesterday - I've been there and done that. I know exactly how she feels - it's a frightening time - she was there for me - so kind and helpful - now I'm going to be there for her - my husbands family is close - they're all very supportive - but not smothery - if that's a word. Looking forward to seeing her :)

Yes, we need to get these kids down to the beach - Luci is back in that yellow rag now...on her way I hope!

Such a difficult time for your SIL. It's great you don't live too far & can get together with her.

I didn’t see yesterday’s post. But it will be very good for your SIL to have someone on her side who has been there and done that. Someone she can ask questions who can give her honest answers even if you had a different different type of cancer... you will be able to actually sympathize with her. She will benefit from that.

I know exactly what you mean by “smothery” it’s great that your SILs family can be there for her without being overbearing. That’s a talent :). Have a great visit with her :D

Very sorry about your sister-in-law. It is nice to hear about a functional family!

All right, Luci--how about the blue nightgown tonight and your dark green sundress tomorrow?

:) I smiled at this comment - since my family is completely dysfunctional it IS really nice to be part of a family - even by marriage that knows how to behave toward one another - I'm often in awe of how they handle things - good solid parental examples is all I can chalk it up to - although they had their family drama with other relatives, my DH and his sisters and their hubbies all get along so well...it's amazing :)
