Lola and Bug, founders of Paw Prints Pizza have taken another day off... shesshh they sure take lot of days off. Not me! I am on duty, 24/7! I tins I shall wakes them up though.... They can help with the cronuts! so. well. anyways. ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) Coffee time! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and Double shot Breve's, with beans from high in the Brazilian Mountains.... and for my mocha fans: a VENTI Quad Blueberry infused white mocha/mocha blend with white chocolate chips melted within, swirled with a raspberry purree, topped with a strawberry infused whip garnished with caramelized berry sprinkles and white chocolate curls and a caramel drizzle.... Oh no worries, a dollop of chocolate curls, and 4 berry and caramel swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge, topped with caramel drizzle. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... mega good! It's my Independence Day ~O) , but I had to bring it backs! Too many of you wanted more.... SWEET! AND!!! It is a go! We will have, for sure, TJ's dunking cookies and Cronuts! Lola and Bug are helping!

I hope everyone had a great day yesterday, a fantastic Caturday! I know I sure did. I have wanted to take my DD and DSIL up to Snoqualmie pass, to a loop hike Nicholas and I do during the summer, when the snows have cleared. This weekend proved to be the time to go. I offered, she accepted, so off we went: Erin, Nicholas, William, and I. DSIL had to work, but I suspect that Erin will get him up there soon. She really enjoyed the location, can see how it would work for them YAY!!!! Here is what I wrote in last night's post about our day: "HI everyone! Been a gorgeous day here today, once we got rid of the morning clouds. Very sunny, warm and just plain great up at Snoqualmie Pass today. Our hike was so nice, and I think all had a good time. Pond was GORGEOUS! Nicholas guy was in his element, got his fill of rock throwing, stick tossing and lake gazing. It always amazed me when he does that: stands there and just stares, for the longest time. The mountains reflect in a clear lake: beautiful! He's come to love the beauty of the mountains too. It is cool to see him just watching it all. Erin loved the place, and vows to come back when they need just a morning, or a day, away. William had his first hike, came along for the ride, and did very well. Nicholas made us stop now and then so he could make sure that William was OK. He is like Nicholas was at that age: fit right in. we had a great time!" Here's the link to the Picassa photos (one video is in the mix to): Family Day at Gold Creek Pond, and some that I took via my phone: Gold Creek Pond These two photos are ones Erin took of Nicholas and I while out on our adventure:

I was also able to spend some time at my DD's place before and after our adventure. it was nice to spend some time with William. I don't get to see him often, so this was nice. I look forward, in a way, to when both boys will come on my days to have them: able to spend more time then! That should be i a couple of months: 9/1 I think.... As crazy as that time will be, still will be worth it. Anyways.... I took a few more photos (DUH!) of William, and Nicholas, as we got things ready to go. Lucky folks there: blueberry pancake for breffis! Nicholas cooked them too, with mom's help. Love that kid! Here's the Picassa link: William, Nicholas, and Erin

On the furkids front.... I have a faucet drinker!!!! In all my days of having cats I never have had a faucet drinker.... Three guesses as to who it is..... DRUM ROLL!!!..... LOLA!!! :-D  well duh huh.  I had left it running while I went to get something to wash off, and turn around to see her with her tongue out lapping up the stream of water.    She then dipped her paw in it and washed her face. Of course I was cameraless. so..... ran to the room to get it, came back to see her still there, and took two hasty really bad photos: The Faucet Drinker Bug is chillin' with me as I write this, a lap cat. YaHOO! He does remind me alot of Mannie in some ways. Another very mellow dude. Elsa continues to be Elsa, our matriarch. She's taken over the nanner pile of late. It is nice to see her using what Mannie so dearly loved. I will laugh - on Lola, came home yesterday to find her sitting in the middle of one of my house plants. Nothing is off limits for her. nothing....

Have a great day everyone, Today is catchup day for me, since I played yesterday, had Nicholas the days before, hiked before that... amazing what can build up in a week... so: shopping, errands, laundry, cleaning, bills.... all the really fun stuff. not. nope. no way. but! gotta do them! I will hope for a walk/trek through the woods to the shore sometime during the day, YAY!

KITTIES!: Think BLUE!!, Think GREEN!!

Re: 7/7 LOOSE LIPS: William's first hike... faucet drinking

Morning Michelle ~O) ~O) sounds like a great hike and fun time together. Little William so cute and love the way Nicholas fusses over him as little big bro. :-D I have to ask, what kind of a sandwich is it, I'm thinking tuna? Looks so yummy and big. Oh how cute with Lola the faucet drinker. She must be related to our Checkers. Great pics of everyone and how nice we get to see a pic of you. That's a great pic of you and Nicholas, both of them.
Elsa, thank you for the coffees. Have a great day, Michelle, with catch up stuff. I need to do it, too, well, only the laundry I think! Enjoy your walk, too.

Re: 7/7 LOOSE LIPS: William's first hike... faucet drinking

Good Morning, Michelle and Three M's,

Great pics of your outing yesterday. What a beautiful spot! I loved the rock-throwing video. Nicholas was having a ball. It is so great that you all could get out, and that Erin could see what fun you have on your adventures.

Lola likes the fawcet! I guess you'll have to get a fountain for her. Stu loved his fountain (and also washed his feet in it). Rusty hardly ever drinks water: not from his bowl, and not from the fountain (which I have put away: do you want it?)

Have fun with your chores today.

Elsa, those espressos are great! It's nice that Paw Prints has decided to take another day off: less work for you trying to keep order!

Enjoy the day,

Ella & Rusty

YES! another faucet drinker! :-D A girl after my own heart
Hmmm, that sandwith looked interesting. Looked like pancakes with filling, to me. I haven't had breakfast yet....I'm thinking pancake sandwich, with cream cheese and jelly filling :-D

I see another family tradition forming, at Snoqualmie pass. :-D

Have a wonderful, joyous day, Michelle.

Thank you so much, for all the visits to our condo, even when I don't get to yours. (((Michelle)))

Re: 7/7 LOOSE LIPS: William's first hike... faucet drinking

Such a wonderful hike! No surprise with Lola being a faucet drinker  ! She's a hoot. I don't know why, I love faucet drinkers. I've got two of my own....they won't drink anywhere else but the kitchen faucet. One of them dunks his head under the faucet, then runs to his food dish, let's the water run off his head into the food, takes a few bites, then repeats. Crazy, crazy cats.

Re: 7/7 LOOSE LIPS: William's first hike... faucet drinking

Morning Everyone! Busy morning here. let's see: shopping: done! Laundry: started, not even loose to done  , FaceBook: done! , and that still leaves everything else...  so, we keep on truckin'!

Morning Ann ~O) ~O) ~O) Yes, it was. We had a wonderful time. I think so to on William and Nicholas - just love the way the Nicholas fusses over him. Way too cute! OH: the sandwich was peanut butter and jelly, strawberry jelly. it's Nicholas's fav. When I saw Lola drinking from the faucet I immediately thought of Checkers. :-D I will have to let this happen again and see of she repeats. THX on the pics. The one of me I liked, so shared it. I usually don't like my photos much, not too sure why. THX on today, we are about halfway through what needs to be done, then off for a walk.
Auntie Ann - you is welcomes! ~~ Elsa, Lil BIT, kitteh barista

Morning Ella ~O) ~O) ~O) THX on the pics, and so agreed on teh s[pot. it is such a good one for a stop over when driving the pass, or taking families to who ave little kids. It is an ADA trail, so very user friendly. I'm glad you liked the video too - this is normal for him when we go to these rivers and lakes - he has such a good time. I was glad that Erin could witness it for herself. and yes on the faucet - this was the first time I've seen her do that - interesting! I have thought of a fountain, but dunno.... they slide on that kitchen floor all the time, just playing, and I have cleaned up so many water messes. Therefore... holding off on a fountain for a bit. Well, will think on it some, and how tempting it would be for Nicholas: Mr water man.
Auntie Ella - Thanks, I'm running an afternoon frappe trial - you want one? Mannie said tey is good, so maybe i'll give that a try. I too am glad Lola and Bug are not in the kitchen today... no messes is a good thing!~~ Elsa, lil BIT, kitteh barista

Hi Barb - ~O) ~O) ~O) YES!! A faucet kitty, well at least once, we shall see if she repeats this. I so thought of Checkers when I watched her do this. LOL on the pancake sammich! LOVE the thought. That might be kinda good! I hope so: on the family tradition. It would be such a nice spot for it. Beautiful area, easy to do for the young ones. and clsoe to home too. -- hey - no worries on the condo. I so know how it goes.

Morning Amy ~O) ~O) ~O) I LOVE YOUR FAUCET DRINKERS! especially the one that gets his head wet then lets it drip onto his food. that is just way too cool!   Part of me really hopes that she will repeat this - She hangs out there with Nicholas when he's helping with the dishes. it just never occurred to me to see if she wanted some. ;-) THX on the hike - it was a fun one.

Hi Everyone! I hope you are all enjoying your afternoon. let's see.... my tally: shopping: done!, laundry: done! errands: done! Yard work: attempted: good enough!, and bill paying: nope! :? time to hit the trails to the shore. The bills can wait....   SWEET!

Hi Carla - Yes, we really did. So nice there, with perfect sunny weather, and wonderful views - awesome day! THX on the pics, and thx on the one with me in it. I kinda liked it, it is so Nicholas and indicative of the fun we have. I normally don't like my photos much, but this one was kinda cool. -- oh Lola... she is such a hoot!  The drinking was funny enough, but when she washed her face from the faucet water: Priceless.

Re: 7/7 LOOSE LIPS: William's first hike... faucet drinking

What a gorgeous lake! It looks perfect for a family outing spot! And Nicholas is graduating to big rocks! Have you showed him how to skip them yet?

Good for you saying the heck w/ any more chores! Enjoy!

Oh Lola! You are really going to be a handful! I love faucet drinkers. GA Cleo used to insist on it every morning. Tess like to dip her paw in the bowl of water and lick it off. Emma just spills it!

Re: 7/7 LOOSE LIPS: William's first hike... faucet drinking

Hi Ann - THX! I think it is too. very very pretty, and right off the Pass. Makes for a great stop on the way home when one crosses over. And YES on Nicholas graduating for the BIG ROCKS!   He will hunt and hunt until he finds the big ones to throw. Too funny! I haven't shown him how to skip them yet. Gotta try soon. LOL on the chores, but yes - I was mentally finished with them MEH! done! OH too fun on the faucet huh. I have this bowl ont eh table that is full of water for floating candles. Several times I have found Lola up there scooping out the water with her paws. Water drips everywhere on the table   I thinks I like this faucet drinking better! I kinda hope she keeps doing it. ;-) Too fun on Emma.... that is Bug, and to some degree Elsa too.
