It's a quiet Sunday morning here, all the kitties are fed and China got her shot, so Mom is going to try to sleep in a little longer. It's a lazy kind of day....hope it stays this quiet!!

I am almost positive I accidentally gave too much insulin this morning and have been busy testing ever since. The way China has dropped makes me think I was right and did give a little too much. How long should I expect it to last?

The reason I think I gave too much was right as I finished pushing the plunger, I remember thinking to myself that I usually didn't push that long....but at that point, it was too late

I think I'm going to have to figure out where to buy some calipers and learn how to use them since I'm also pretty sure the lines on my syringes vary quite a bit

I had to get calipers once we got below 1.00 or there abouts, as I found my syringes varying by 0.25. I took 3 syringes back to WalMart to complain (one with the zero line at the top, one with the zero line down a little, and one with the zero line down 0.25 from the top). All I got was to register a complaint and a free box of syringes from ReliOn. I'm sure they won't do anything about it because humans don't care if they are off by fractions of a unit.

yeah, I've noticed these syringes really seem to vary...and when I'm trying to only get .75, that can make a BIG difference in her numbers. I don't have the first idea where to look for calipers though...or once I get them, how to use them

I'm a little nervous about shooting tonight after being pretty sure I gave too much this morning and China only being at 139, but I did. May be a long night for us though. Glad I know all you wonderful people are here if I need you!!

Hey Chris!

I'm glad you shot. Looks like China was on her way up.

Here is more than you ever wanted to know about Dosing with Calipers including where to get them. Please let me know if you have any questions.

I'd suggest a +1 and +2 test, ok? That will just give you an idea of what China has up her sleeve for tonight. If you did shoot extra this morning, you could see an effect tonight but you are on top of numbers :-D

Thanks for the info on the calipers Marje!

I remember someone telling me that I'd have to get comfortable with shooting the low numbers to give China the best chance of getting OTJ, so since she was coming up, I did. Looks like it was a good decision since she's still climbing

I sure hope at one point during this adventure, her numbers make some sense...more than 1 time in a row :lol: :lol:
 
I have no idea what's going on, but here's the latest (unless this is a bounce)...but I think I can sleep well knowing she's not going hypo tonight anyway
