FYI: I only weed and mulch under duress. The house is looking a little abandoned, and hubby is tied up with an indoor bathroom remodel. Actually, I don't mind the mulching - it's good exercise. But I hate weeding. When I was a kid, my Dad tried a little psychology on me, saying that I was getting tan while weeding (I was a sunworshipper as teenager) :roll: . He wasn't fooling me....

that was back in the day before we all ran from the sun to avoid skin cancer! i also hate weeding - kind of a necessary evil sort of thing. love the flowers that come with it, of course.

trixie has been on a mighty sweet run with her BG! what a perfect string of numbers today!

don't forget to take breaks while you're weeding! :mrgreen: they're my fav part of it!

I'm not joking....I wish I was there to help you do the yard work. It's my favorite thing of all time. SO much better than housework!! :-D

Patty - I so wish you were here, too! In some ways I don't mind yard work, and I definitely enjoy the finished product. I just don't have the attention span for it, though...there are so many other things that need to be done as well. Not enough hours in the day!

I spent most of the day "thunder weeding/mulching" Thunder was rumbling off in the distance almost the entire time I was out there, but only a few drops of rain actually fell. It was actually very interesting! Unfortunately, though, I barely made a dent in that huge pile of mulch :? ...lots left to do for the rest of the week!
