Ok, so I read up on the suggestions from yesterday when I had the chance to get back online.
I went with an "increase" of a fat .8 last night and this morning.
He seemed to be doing about the same the last check I got last night before bed.
This morning, he was back in the 300's at amps.
Uugggggg.
I've been tracking his food intake to see what role that plays and I'm not seeing anything of significance. I don't know what to look for, either though!
Speaking of food, it was suggested that I "feed the drop", but I'm confused by this. I am of the understanding that food brings the bg UP, and he seems to drop early on, which is after he is fed. I thought to get "true" readings, you should test at least 2 hours after food.
Well, it's within the first few hours after eating and insulin that he has his drop.
He usually gets him mid day *snack* around +6-7'ish, but that doesn't do anything to bring his numbers back down, they just continue to climb until it's shot time.
I am trying to get some data today to see how he does with the fat .8 since his first go at this was an evening cycle, and well, I wanted to sleep.
I didn't read Joanna's post until after the shot last night. Maybe I should have gone down to a skinny .8?
Like I said, I want to get some numbers today to see how he does, but I am stumped. Maybe I should hold the F.8 for a couple days before trying to go the other way?
Any advice/suggestions/support is welcomed and greatly appreciated.
I wish these sugar babies would get together and make a manual with the steps to this dance.
It would definitely make life easier, wouldn't it?
