Green last night & blue this morning! Woo Hoo! We're doing well!

Heading to the vet later this AM to get Max his boosters so he can stay at a kitty hotel this weekend while we're away! He is NOT going to be happy about getting in that carrier. In fact, I have no idea how I'm going to get him in there now that his strength is back.

I'll get in one test this morning before work, and DH will be home in time to do the PMPS. I hope you all have a great day!

Yesterday's Thread

AMPS 148 (fed 3 oz 2% wf)
+3 ~88 (fed 1 oz wf)
+5 ~104 (fed 1.5 oz wf)

OK, Max is at 88 and it's only +3... what do I do?

Should I feed him 1 oz of his regular food now? I have to leave for work in a little over an hour. Suggestions?

Holly

Hey Holly,

sorry about the delay!

you did fine! You left out for Max right? Probably.
When in doubt, leave food out if you have to go. You can always top it with a bit of HC too.

We'll see you later!

Back from vet- got his shots- max up to 104 (probably stress) feeding another 1 oz in case he comes down.

Late for work, gotta run.

Holly

PS- Thanks Ronnie :YMHUG:

Pretty good for vet stress Max!

Oh my gosh - Cat Paws Inn looks like an amazing place! Look how fancy it is! I wanna go there

Gosh it's late.

I think the high numbers we're seeing might be due to the treatments Max got at the vet today. He got his '5-way' immunization, which I'm not even sure is for, but one component was a sticky yellow paste that was administered orally, I think for worms. Do you think that maybe this stuff was full of sugars that would make Max spike? Or is it more likely a bounce from lower numbers in the day?

Or am I just trying to understand too much?

On a unrelated note, I have a testing question- do you always test in the same ear, at the same place? We do because is seems the easiest and most reliable way to get a sample, but with all the testing we do, I'm starting to wonder if this might be cruel. Any thoughts? He has quite a bit of scar tissue built up, but bleeds very easily.

Thanks, and goodnight! (or goodmorning :? )
