Thanks, Jo! He actually used to have really good numbers last year and at the start of this year, but then things shifted a bit. He has occasional bouts of feline interstitial cystitis that cause spikes in numbers, but also, even when those seemingly clear, he just doesn't get those regular greens and low blues that he used to experience consistently anymore. I'm not sure why. He bounces a lot now, and he didn't used to do that. All that to say that apparently their condition doesn't always remain the same 🤷‍♀️

Gracie had sterile interstitial cystitis when she was younger. I don’t know if this product for bladders will work but I use a lot of AB products. I firmly believe our balanced homemade raw + AB gut products kept Tobey’s mild intestinal thickening in check. In four years of checking it annually, it never changed and he never had IBD symptoms even though the vets “assumed” he had IBD and/or SCL. I know 100% it wasn’t SCL because he never lost an ounce and weight loss is the first telltale symptom of SCL.

Thanks Marje. I'll need to sit down and compare the Easy Peesy ingredients with one of the supplements he's currently taking. It's called Urinary Gold. Then there's also Tinkle Tonic, which is a different proprietary blended supplement for the bladder, and is popular on the FLUTD groups. These product names!

The inside-the-house part of my ac/heat pump started slowly leaking water a few weeks ago. Today the techs came to check things out. Diagnosis: a major part of the unit is "impacted" with CAT HAIR. I literally never put my vacuum cleaner up, and vacuum almost every day, and change the filter monthly, and despite that, my ac is impacted with cat hair! They told me that if I had paid for a yearly maintenance, I could have avoided things getting so bad. I had that maintenance for a good while, but it was so pricey that I let it lapse. Bad decision. Be warned, those of you in super warm regions. Now I get to decide on repairs to limp along on an aging unit or a replacement of the entire unit, which is $$$$$$$$$. There is no way to survive without ac in this part of the country, at least not moderately or even slightly comfortably. When the tech gave me the news of the problem, I did not curse the cats. Wait. Yes I did! But, seriously, I do love them! They are just so expensive in ways I didn't even expect. I developed problematic allergies these past couple of years that I'm sure are related to cat dander, and now this. I'm sure the number of cats (5) is a large part of the problem. Interesting fact: the tech told me that cats are the number one issue/problem to cause complications in central ac/heat pump units. In the past, I've had hypoallergenic cats, so this never cropped up. Not so now. We've got some heavy shedders here.😿

Omg now I’m going to have to check my unit tomorrow. This hits too close to home as someone with 5 cats (of whom 2 are extremely long haired ragdolls). We’re basically going to be running a robot vacuum 24-7 but I’m guessing we’re still going to need to keep an eye on this.

I’m so sorry that you’re dealing with this Mary :(. It’s not easy being a full time cat servant but I think Jude and your other four would agree that you do it exceptionally well 😹😻

Get the yearly maintenance! If the cat hair is removed incrementally, you avoid the “impacting” situation. FWIW, It’s the evaporator coil that gets impacted. You can’t see it—the techs have to check it.

Thank you so much! I definitely don’t have that now so I’ll look into it tomorrow.
