We're all in the yellows today… I guess this is a rebound thing… :YMSIGH:

It’s really hot and humid here today… no cats wants to go outside… staying in AC, we’ll see when the sun goes down.

I got the FF HC (Grilled) today… I’ve seen a lot of you are feeding your cats Wellness Core… Is it available in Canada? Where?

Hanging around to see what the new dose 2.75U will do.
 
Wellness core not for diabetic... it's evil kibble... but for your other cat, if you must, you should be able to get it in Quebec. I can get it here in Ontario.
 
Hi Helene, I thought it was available canned also… I feed both my kitties the same food. Want to keep the other one healthy...

I was looking for an alternative to FF as my vet told me it wasn’t good for them…. She probably wants me to keep buying DM from her!! ;-)
I still am buying canned DM for now… trying to eliminate dry progressively… down to about 3/8 cup a day now…

So many people feed FF here and my cats like it… so we’ll give it a try…
 
You can try the President Choice ones from Loblaws too. The Liver and Chicken (pink cans) and the turkey and giblets (green cans I think) are pretty good quality wise and are also on the Janet and Binky's list.
Wellness (no core) is available in cans and you can find it in canada... probably at a pet store, definitely not at walmart. I got GO grain-free cans from a pet store. It's a good quality canadian food too.

The good thing also about the little cans (or any cans for that matter) is that you can freeze the can and serve it frozen to be eaten a couple of hours later. I do that when I have to go to work or at night.

Have a look at Do Lou's spreadsheet and have a look at what a change in food can do... of course... you will have to be tres tres careful about the insulin and the food change. Again, check out Do Lou... it will shock you.

Yes the weather is quiet brutal here.
I had a message yesterday about your food questions.
No way can you find the beef flavours here in Quebec. Not allowed to cross the border
although I just brought some back from the states. So far I have not been asked about the 500 cans of food I bring back.(don't tell okay)

Some of the specialty pert stores (not Mondu) sell the wellness grain free. There is a little yellow triangle on the can.
I only feed FF to my 3 kitties, luckily they like it and as you know, max is OTj having only eaten the FF.

For the HC, we used whatever "grilled" or "marinated" cans I could find. Chicken mostly but sometimes I found the beef at Dollarama, don't know why.
