RECAP:

PMPS- 409; +2-373; +3-283; +5-133 +7-151

Tuxie got to the blues last night but still ended up high for AMPS. He seems to be trying to break the bounce but is still not finished playing on the trampoline just yet. Hoping he will come back gown gently and just hang out in the lower numbers today.

I gave Tuxie a Tbsp regular food with pumpkin and bone broth. Since this is a little later in the cycle I didn't want to give MC yet. I will be retesting in an hour and see where he is going this cycle. It is nice to see that Tuxie seems to be breaking his bounces faster...as long as he doesn't bounce again from the big drop :(

Maybe next time give the mc at +3 if you see a bigger drop. That worked for Max.

Interesting. Why would MC cause a larger drop?
The regular I gave him at +3 after testing...about 1 Tbsp.. it is the usual I give in the earlier hours and he still did a drop of 141 points in 1 1/2 hours. I am not sure if I would want him to drop any faster than that since he tends to bounce on either low numbers or big drops.

Sorry if I didn't make it clear. I meant the mc slowed him down. At first I would only give mc if Max was getting low too fast to avoid a decrease since he wouldn't hold reductions. Later I would give mc even when a little higher to prevent big drops. BTW mc for Max was around 9% Trader Joe's turkey and giblets. Does that make sense I hope?

OK..thank you...that makes more sense...I am still over-tired so it doesn't take much to confuse me :)

My usual "plan" if Tuxie is dropping quicker than I like is first to use reg food, check in 1/2 hour, then reg food with a drop or two or syrup, check in 1/2 hour, then MC ,recheck, and then MC with a drop or two of syrup. Of course if he drops way too much that all changes and the syrup and MC/HC are used much quicker. I try to slow the drop, but only for a shorter time frame and not too much. Normally his regular food will do that, such as this morning's numbers, but sometimes I go through the other steps too.

Tuxie was already well on his way back up at +9. Hopefully he doesn't get too high in the next 2 hours before PM shot. Maybe this is good though. I am going out for supper with my son tonight so even if it runs late, I shouldn't have to worry about Tuxie's numbers.

EDITED TO ADD:

Dinner has been cancelled for tonight since other things came up with my son, so Tuxie can do some dropping if he wants...hint hint Tuxie!!:cat:

Tuxie's PMPS is WAY up. I can't figure out what the heck he is trying to do. He has had a 326 point difference between his high point (so far) and his nadir this morning :arghh: :arghh:

Tuxie boy you can get off that trampoline any time now. We see how good you are and how high you can jump, but we would much rather see you at, or hanging around near, the lagoon!!!

This is most frustrating. Tuxie's s/s this evening looks a lot like it did just over 7 months ago when we were starting out. I hope there is nothing else going on that could be causing these high numbers :(
