Hi Everyone,

Just a short report for now. Spent the morning taking Edward to the Urgent Care Center. He apparently was still under the influence of the Clindamycin and Prednisone taken because of the infection from the insect bite last week and it had gotten all his electrolytes out of whack. And then he had sun stroke on top of it. So he has to take Flagyl and he was told to drink Gatorade. He's tired, but I think he'll be OK. At least he doesn't have some kind of flu!!

Rusty is good this morning. He still favors his leg when he sits (right foot out to the side), but he's walking normally. He's busy watching over Edward. I'm off to the stores now. We're having some neat company this weekend (more on this later).

bbl,

Ella & Rusty

Awwwww Ella, your poor hubby. I hope this med stuff, gets cleared out of his system soon. And sun/heat stroke sucks big time!
I get sick to my stomach from heat.

Glad Rusty's leg is better than it was.

I wanna hear about the dinner guests. Okay, I really want to hear about the menu. I hope it's salads. *grin*

I hope Edward is feeling better soon. Heat stoke does suck, but it is so easy to not think about drinking water when you are on the water.

Nice job watching over daddybean this morning, Rusty! You are making him happy w/ nice low, but safe, numbers too.

Rusty, do we need to come to help Uncle Edwardbean? I bet lots of purrs and kitty massages would make him feel better! -- Tess

Hi again, Everyone,

Edward is feeling a lot better this evening. Rusty is doing well. I had a really busy day. Just finished a ton of paperwork. And I did some shopping for the weekend.
We are going to have two wonderful houseguests, whom many of you know: Linda (Bear Man) is coming tomorrow to spend the weekend with us (she was here at New Year's, so she will see a very different landscape!). And on Saturday, Claudia (cjleo), Rusty's Foster Mom, will be here, staying over 'till Sunday. She is picking up her large cat carriers, which were used in the transport of the "Three Tenors" (Rusty, Vinnie, and Oliver) when they left Claudia's to go to their new homes in the midwest in the spring of 2010. When Rusty was re-homed from Phoebe and Charlie to us (he didn't get along with Phoebe's other kitties), the carriers came back with him so that they could eventually be returned to Claudia. Linda will remember the carriers: they took up a lot of room in her car when she drove a lap of the DCIN relay that brought Rusty to us. So Rusty will have a fine visit with two of his "fans" and we are all looking forward to the weekend.

Wishing everyone a good evening. Sorry to miss all the condos today, but will try to visit a few later this evening (must go now to watch "Person of Interest" --a really good TV show that I missed most of during the "season").

bbl,

Ella & Rusty

Nice green day for the lagoon master. "Three Tenors"? I bet that was a long trip.  How fun for Linda and Claudia to see Rusty (and his beans)! Poor Edward, he's been through the wringer. I'm glad he's feeling better. Sending many healing vines to him as well as sympathy vines.

I am very much looking forward to seeing all of you again, to seeing your neighbourhood in summer, and to meeting Claudia. It's good to know that Edward is feeling better this evening. I am all packed and ready to go!

Oh, poor Edward...glad he's feeling better tonight and hope he's all better SOON! How sweet of Rusty to be taking care of him!

I like Person of Interest, too, but had actually seen tonight's episode (as well as The Mentalist which I am now watching). :-D I missed quite a few episodes of Person of Interest during the regular season, too, but not The Mentalist. My kids think everything stops for The Mentalist ;-) . I, personally, think it only stops for NCIS ;-)

Sounds like Rusty has had a good day and you have a fun weekend to look forward to!

Have a great evening -

Libby (& Hershey, too!)

Glad to know that both man in the house are getting better. The woman must be exhausted! Keep cool Ella! Chinese believe spending hours under the heaty midnoon sunshine is "poisonous" to our body. Yes, drink water & eat watermelon will help to cool down our system.
Lots of activities; guest visits esp our LL comrades, kitty fans & friends must be exciting!
Rusty, be good no drama k!

Just thought we'd stop by for a quick visit & learned of all the stuff going on! Those men are really keeping you busy, Ella! Glad to hear they are both doing better tho.

& how exciting about your special guests! You are all going to have such a fun & loving weekend!

Desi, Tinkerbell, Tawny & the Gang

PS: Rusty, our Mommie's Internet had not been working well for several months but she finally got it fixed. We have missed so many of your cool parties but hope to be able to join you more often now that we are back online regular. We miss fighting over who gets to sit next to you! Tinkerbell & Tawny

I'm glad to see Rusty coming down and hope his leg will feel better tomorrow.

Poor Edward! That is not good when electrolytes get out of balance. I'm glad he's better.

Have fun with Linda and Claudia!

Auntie Ellabean....it's me your other best boy! You have company this weekend? You making cimmamum desserts for them? Tobes can come help you :-D I give Uncle Edward a god Tobey KTSS massage!

I missed your condo for a few days I think, so I didn't know of Rusty's leg problem, but so glad it sounds like he is feeling better. And poor Edward, wow, that little bug bite ended up being a real pain, in so many ways. Glad to hear he is getting better now. How nice of Rusty to stay by Edward.

Have fun with all your visitors this weekend.

Hi Ella - oh my on Edward!!! I am so glad that he is feeling better. wow, what an ordeal...

Your weekend and house guests sounds like so much fun! Hi to Linda from me and Mannie. How great to see all of them again. Nannie wonders if maybe you need a chef. He'd love to come and cook and swears he won't make a mess....

it is great to see Rusty in the greens. Good to that his leg is feeling better.
