Happy Saturday!

Yesterday's condo

Yesterday
AMPS=128 (0.5u); +2=122; +3=128; +8=193
PMPS=256 (0.5u); +2=209; +4.5=155; +6=160; +8.5=187

Today
AMPS=164 (0.5u); +2=184; +4=200; +7.25=193
PMPS=270 (0.5u);

I was too bummed out to update last night, but the meds kicked in and she ate a decent amount last night.
The meds are still working and she ate a full meal this morning, - Wellness Turkey for the 1st half and Wellness Turkey&Salmon for the 2nd half.
Her mood is not fantastic, but somewhere in the neutral zone.
She did come back to bed and cuddled a bit, purring. :-D

My plan is to give her another dose of Pepcid and Cypro (no Cerenia) this afternoon, and then hold as long as her appetite and mood are decent.

I spoke with Lucy's first acupuncture vet yesterday, who just returned from her maternity leave.
I thought about seeing the acupuncture vet Wendy & Neko are seeing, but the first vet is from our regular clinic and already knows and cares about Lucy, so I decided to go back to her.
She knew I was seeing another acupuncture vet while she was on leave, so I told her how this vet didn't want to treat Lucy anymore (Lucy is too heavily medicated for her liking, and it's interfering with her treatment, and frustrates her.).
I didn't bad-mouth, I just told her exactly what the 2nd vet said, and she said "You come back to me, and we'll do what's best for Lucy.", and she also said she was excited about treating Lucy again.
So I felt really good about it.
She offered to do a session today, but I decided to wait because I didn't want to add another stress of car ride and vet visit.
Maybe next week.

I hope everyone's having a nice day!

I'm happy to hear that Lucy is eating for you, and that you can go back to your original acupuncture vet now.

I am sending Lucy some good appetite vines, and you some hugs. You are such a good mommy.

It's good to hear Lucy is eating for you and purring. I'm glad you can get back to your old vet for the acupuncture. I hope Lucy continues to eat for you today. :YMHUG: :YMHUG:

Hi Mariko,
Good news that Lucy is eating and that your old acupuncture vet will take her into treatment again. That must make you feel better about Lucy's well being. This vet seeoms to understand that ECID.

Have a good weekend,

Ella & Rusty

So glad the meds are helping Lucy eat more. A neutral mood isn't such a bad thing, and cuddling and purring sound a little better than neutral to me! :-D

It's great that your former vet is back and happy to treat Lucy again. It sounds like she is a much better fit. Having one that understands how complicated multi-issue cats are and cares about Lucy is so important.

Have a great day, Mariko!

I'm so glad the meds helped and Lucy is feeling better. And, it's wonderful that your old acupuncture vet is back and is anxious to help Lucy! Have a great night, Mariko, and keep feeling well, Lucy!

Re: 7/5 Lucy AMPS=164;+2=184

I'm happy Lucy is better today and eating. Her numbers look very good today.

I'm also glad your regular acupuncture vet is back and when Lucy feels up to it, that the sessions help her.

You are an amazing mom, Mariko.

Re: 7/5 Lucy AMPS=164;+2=184

I'm so glad to see that Lucy's feeling better. She has such a good cat-mom. Keep eating Miss Lucy, keep eating.

How nice to have a Lucy-advocate acupuncture vet back. Makes such a huge difference when our vets honestly care about our fur family and want to give their all to help.

I'm glad Lucy is feeling a bit better today, but I'm still sending more feel better and appy vines your way. I agree it makes sense to see the acupuncture vet who knows Lucy, and that Lucy knows, plus it's a shorter car ride. I'm glad she's back from mat leave now.

Dyana, Carla, Ella, Tricia, Amy, Marje, Marilyn and Wendy - Thank you very much for stopping by, and also for your vines. Lucy still need them.

I forgot to test PMPS today before feeding.
I realized that I didn't test after she ate, before the shot.
So today's PMPS number is obtained after she ate the 1st dinner, probably about 15-20 minutes since she started eating but right after she finished.
(It took about 15-20 minutes to feed the 1st dinner today, which is not bad!)
I don't know if the high number is food influenced... I hope so... at least partially.

Her energy is still low, but she seems comfortable.
I gave her Pepcid & Cypro about 2 hours before dinner as I planned even though she seemed to be feeling OK.
Today I didn't want to risk her getting sick again. She needs a break from sick!
She's eating fine so far this evening. :smile:
