Bhooma @Bandit's Mom I had answered your question this morning but maybe the tag didn't take.
Ok from the beginning. Raw food at both preshots about an ounce. Tsp 5-7% @+1 and +2. Raw snack at +5 and +9 usually around half an ounce or about a tsp. That's it.

If the higher carb at +1 and 2 are affecting by +5 then I'm really not sure what else to do.
I will be curious to see how he does on 5% vs 7%. What if you were to skip the raw snack at +9? See if that makes a difference.

@tiffmaxee

If I skip the raw snack he will want to eat breakfast way early...that's the reason I have always given the snack.

He gets super stressed vocal and he starts biting my leg

Oh and I should add most times I'm checking his bg at +9 and he is already higher...many times he comes down from +9 to preshot
Yes, I thought about this too. He is not higher at PS after the +9 snack. Can you ditch the +9 snack in the AM cycle for a few days and see if that helps? I am trying to see how that affects his PS and whether that would in turn affect the next cycle.

@Jessica A also feeds Callie raw and her feeding pattern seems to be similar to yours with snacks at +6 and +9 in both cycles. She has also been saying that the ReliOn Premier Classic reads higher - even higher than the AT!

If I ditch the +9 I'm gonna have to gove something about +8. He gets ugly mean if he goes from +5/6 to preshot. And he tends to have the weird stomach acid vomit too.

What I've noticed is he generally has a drop at +2 onset and then another drop at +3 but that also seems to be his nadir. He will usually surf within meter variance of nadir but we hit +6ish and it usually back up to the 80s and by +9 low 100s....so could this be a duration issue? Is it possible the raw doesnt offer enough carbs?

There is that too.

Let me tag more experienced members to see if they have some advice on feeding the curve/extending duration:

Ok thankyou. The dose I think is good it's getting down to 50s and 60s. Just cant keep him there long.

I think I could extend the +5 snack to about +7 maybe +7.5ish and skip the +9...but that maybe as far as he will let me take it.

Just gave him another tsp of 5% for +2 he is at 78....so that dive is what I'm wondering is killing us. Even with the 7% he still dives about 30 pts. Only other thing is would his liver eventually get used to the dive as "normal"? Then could he stop jumping back up...

So he slept right through the +5 snack. But in doing so this is the highest +7.5 he has had...not by a ton. Now I'm curious if it will bring him down since I gave a snack. Will check at about +11

He was up to 126 at +9 on 7/3 when he dipped to 57 at AM+3. Maybe it's a reaction to the 50s? Curious to see what the +7.75 snack does for his AMPS.
Yes +9 he is usually up in this numerical territory.
I was saying the few times I've taken a +7ish he hasnt been this high. Not taking a +7 on a regular I have no way of knowing if he has been this high on a more regular and is just flat into +9

Agreed I'm curious to see what it does as well.

That's almost 70 pts in 3 hours. It is almost always like this. I think we are in a dive bounce (albeit a mini bounce) cycle.
Good morning - I don't see a condo for you guys yet today so I'm replying here.

Unfortunately, I don't have any suggestions since we are struggling with a similar cycle. Callie also has fast steep drops early (mostly in the day cycle) and then mini bounces or loss of duration resulting in higher numbers. As Bhooma said, we are also feeding raw and I actually stopped trying to slow Callie's drop with higher carbs at +1 because that seemed to negatively affect duration even more :banghead: Why don't these cats FOLLOW THE MANUAL??!!

Since Callie nadirs so early, there is also no way to stop feeding her at nadir. She would for sure start eating me alive :p

Good luck with your feeding experiments! I'll definitely be following 'cause I am probably going to have to try some experimenting myself again soon if we can't get rid of these blues...
