LATE! Thank goodness for kitty alarms, eh? ohmygod_smile :lol: Im certain she started meowing/screaming when the alarm was 'suppose' to go off. Only late by 10 minutes (thats all I could take of her old lady, demanding meow)...but just think of how bad it could have been if Latte hadnt so rudely remind me of shot time. :?

Latte certainly has her hearing still enact (sometimes Ive wondered :roll: ). I gave the a/c a break for a bit last night and she was definately 'annoyed' by the sounds. Every 5 minutes or so I would see her leave the bathroom and move to another area...not scared, just annoyed...or at least pretending not to be scared. Then it was back to the bathroom...repeat. Once the kids came home from the local bars and fire works exploded in our neighborhood, the crouching tiger action began. :? Poor thing. No real place to fully hide in here. Windows got shut and a/c back on, but it didnt seem to help her until the noise stopped. Whats worse is she wants NO comforting from me when she is that scared.

I certainly hope this animal communicator can ask and get an answer from Latte as to why she wont eat in the a.m.'s very well anymore, and what I can do to help. This is getting very frustrating. I hope it is due to the a/b's, which will all be finished by Thursday pm...unless the infection still lingers. Mornings have always been the one time she WILL eat. :YMSIGH:

Back to work tomorrow! Blah! The family I nanny for just lost grandpa (mom's dad) this weekend. Grandma and Grandpa spent the entire month of June visiting. I was able to spend a lot of time with them and enjoyed Grandpa's stories, along with watching him with the kids. Its very sad, and no doubt will be a difficult time in the house for a while.

Morning Carolyn...those kitty alarms are the best thing since sliced bread...unles of course you want to sleep in! ;-) Sorry to hear the fireworks annoyed her so much last night. My crew didn't seem to mind unless one of those thundering M-80's went off and shook the house. So much for being illegal. :YMSIGH:
Hope Latte has a good day today. And yes, it would be great to get some answers from her on the morning meal issues. I hope you get what you need from her. I am anxious to hear how it all goes once you speak with the communicator.
My condolences to you and the family of your boss.

Not a bad start for Latte's day. I'm lucky. Despite the fireworks being only a few blocks from where I live and probably over 100,000 people descending upon Navy Pier for the fireworks, with the windows shut, you can't hear very much. I don't face the Pier so I can't see the fireworks but I'd rather have the option of going out to the front of the building than hearing the noise. Our windows are very well insulated which helps enormously.

it amazes me how perfect their internal clocks are.
Fireworks are a scary thing, aren't they Latte? But it's all over now so you can calm down and bring your BG down too.

Well now I know why she was not so hungry...contents from the other end coming out slightly unformed. And very minimal drops for her.

Poor girl.

She is resting peacefullu under the air conditioner now.

That's a nice gentle drop coming from Latte. I hope she's feeling better soon. I can't wait to hear what the AC has to say. I've always wanted to try that, but like you, I'm a little afraid of what I'd hear.

Enjoy your last day off before going back to work. I'm sorry to hear about Grandpa - it will be very sad at that house this week.

Looks like Latte is doing a good surf!
My seven baby's handled the noise last night pretty good. Thought they were going to freak, but they all just were in there normal sleeping places, and ears perked up a little but nothing to bad. By changing Buddy's time 1 hour, all the baby's are thinking there starving, cause of the 1 hr difference!! :lol: So the kitty alarms are at least 3 of them doing whatever they can think of to make noise. Buddy jumps up in one of the cat trees that is by a bedroom window, and sticks his head in the vertical's back and forth so they make alot of noise, and of course it's on my side of the bed!!! LOL So we were up an hour earlier (5am) than schedule!

Hey Guys, Not bad numbers today, Latte. Sorry to hear that the fireworks were scary, but fortunately they only happen once or twice a year. Now you can relax a bit and then come to the party tonight for Ducky. Stu is going to cook something special for you.
Sorry to hear of the passing of Grandpa. Please extend our sympathy to the family.
We'll be interested in hearing about your appointment with the communicator. When is it?

Latte has had such a GREAT weekend, aside from the various bodily fluids all over the place :? . All this despite the pills, and pokes, loud noises and heat. So, she got an impromptu party this afternoon! party_cat

I ran out to get her pee pads, and kept getting these thoughts about the famous rotissare chicken all cats love from the store next door. I never got one for her because she would probably never eat it. And I wont eat it. I thought I would ask if they sold any by the piece and sure enough..they did! :thumbup Next stop, a few extra cans of cat food to get through the week till payday. Without thinking I grabbed her favorite, most potent catnip ever! We have not had this for a while.

Whoa...let me tell you about that chicken! :lol: I have NEVER seen her eat anything so fast. :o She just got a piece about 1/2 size of my pinky. When I put the container down (cover on), she kept trying to open it. Then came the catnip. Oh boy was she in heaven...like a kitten at the ripe old age of 18. flip_cat After a test, she got some more chicken - in which she sat moving her front paws up and down/up and down...over and over again. Like she was telling me HURRY UP as I was tearing it into small pieces! She got some great skritches on her head for a while as we laid next to each other on the rug. I left her with a the little pink pillow under her head, purring away. cat_pet_icon

We finished the last of the orbax (a/b) today - 24 days total! Whew! Three and a half days left of the amoxicilan, unless told otherwise tomorrow when her culture comes back. So grateful to have one less pill, if even for just a while.

So - can the rotissare chicken raise BG's? (inside part - not the skin) Just wondering....either way, it was worth it. :-D

Latte got something she will eat !

The plain chicken should be low carb. I think the raw recipes are around 3%, so this should be about the same or less.
 
Sounds like you and Latte have had a wonderful day. I'm sitting here grinning from ear to ear for you. That's so great. I hope tomorrow will be a repeat of today for you.
 
AH, treat day for Latte, roasted chicken and catnip - can't beat that combo unless you put whipped cream on it ! Nice numbers for Latte today- hope the ac can keep up with your heat.
