7/5 Kit cat AMBG, +3 74, PMBG 85, OTJ Trial day 2

So that's an unpleasant number to see. I slept through her snack alarm (again. I don't hear it go off, but my phone doesn't say I missed it, so I must have turned it off in my sleep).
I also found a hairball on the floor and a couple of pieces of soft poop. Then after I tested her and fed her (she only ate a little) she pooped (very soft but not quite diarrhea) in multiple places and yowled a bunch. She then ate more and is now quietly hanging out in one of her window locations.
So I'm hoping her numbers are from an upset tum and me missing that +9 snack. I'll test again in a few hours to see what's up.

Poor Kit. It sounds like her number is affected by what's going on. I hope you see green next test and she feels better.

Please feel better soon Kit. Alicia - Tina has been OTJ for over six months now. I had a recent scare a little more than a month ago - all due to hairballs. So - maybe that is the reason for Kit's elevated BG. I caught Tina up at 161 before she got rid of that hairball last time. Another time before OTJ, she went up around 200 -- hairball was the reason then too. So now I brush extra, feed egg powder, and have Vet's Best hairball control on hand (works fast if needed).

Once again, feel better little Kit baby

She's dropped to 74 at +3, so that seems good. Just to confirm, that should mean we keep going and her pancreas is working, correct?

Thanks Jan. She's had higher numbers before from hairballs, it was the softer poo that had more worried. She seems to be doing well now.

I was looking at it. Wish I knew yesterday when I ordered lysine from chewy. I use most of those ingred separately to keep Ollie from constipation. All mixed into one and hairball as a bonus, must try.
