I'm really, really unhappy about the last 2 AMPS numbers we've gotten. Why is this happening? Not enough insulin? I don't know what she could be bouncing from - it doesn't look like she went low yesterday, other than that 59 in the morning.

Ok- I don't want to talk about it.

She ate an outstanding breakfast - around 2 1/2 - 2 3/4 Tbsp FF (which, it turns out, is about 1/2 can). All by herself - without any encouragement from me. She never eats this much - well, rarely. I put the bowl down and she ate about 1 Tbsp. I gave her shot (she sees me coming with the syringe and runs away - except, she runs to her box and assumes the shot-taking position. The last 2 days, she is even facing the direction I like her to face cuz it's easier for me to give the shot). I put the rest of the can in the bowl (Blue already had 1/2 can in his bowl) and brought it out to her. I was washing dishes and taking my own morning supplements. Every time I looked out, she was still eating. I was surprised. But she's fooled me before- she could appear to be eating for an hour, I swear, and there would still be 1/2 the food in the bowl. She not an efficient eater. She usually gets tired of eating before she eats very much.

However, this morning when I picked up her bowl, there were only crumbs left. Nothing worth measuring.

Still some sneezes.

Well, she's back down in the greens...

No one is eating today - it's ungodly hot out already -I was just out watering the planters. Don't know how that is affecting the kitties in their climate-controlled environment, but even Blue hasn't been off the couch to clean up his breakfast dish... Kasha moved out to the porch where it's hotter to sit in a sunny patch. I just gave her a chlor-trimeton niblet (maybe less than a 1/4 tab, but she hasn't been sneezing too much yet today) in a pill pocket (which are sticky-gooey even in the cool house) and a bowl of LC...

Sometimes kitties get a little slow due to the weather, especially when its hot. Just try to keep them comfy, it will pass.

Nice catch for +4, will you be checking again?

Hope your day goes well Krys!

Will I be checking again? LOL - what else do I do anymore!

I don't have to go to work today, so I'll probably check till at least +6... Then I'm considering another hike in the heat of the day1 Although I may just sit around and eat ice cream instead!

AMPS numbers are the last to come down but I don't know quite what to make of the yellows either. I know Kasha is a picky eater but I wonder if her numbers would come down if she had a snack at +8 or +9. Given how well she's doing, the snack may kick her pancreas into gear and it will help to bring her numbers down.

With a 56, you might want to check before +6.

We've got hot and humid weather too. We're expecting the next week to be like this, including thunderstorms - not that my kitties would know since we're all hanging out in the AC.

Wow, Kasha, what is up today! I'm sorry to hear about your heat. I will be on the east coast for five days mid July, so the heat will be different for me as it's more dry here in CA. I'm not looking forward to the heat, as my Mom will not have anything to do with A/C, just fans!!!

I hope your two both start eating and Kasha's bg comes up. Do you have any Gerber or Beechnut chicken broth baby food or beef broth bf? Maggie loves it as a reward when I prick her ear.

UGH the heat! It's horrible.
Kasha is down into a lovely green now, hope the amps improve though. These kitties are a confusing bunch though.

Please tell me that one day I'll be able to sleep thru the night... this is taking a toll... I can't imagine how much more sleep deprived I'll be if I have to get up at +8 or +9... and believe me - she will not get up for the auto-feeder.

Kasha has been out on the porch cooking for a few hours now. Apparently enjoying her new status as a short-hair.

I just poked her and told her she's done... fully cooked.

Sleeping beauty Kasha looks adorable with her hew hair style. It makes you wonder how they can take the sun.

So cute...I love that picture! Awww....
I hate to tell you all but with the rain we have been having, we have the doors & windows open here in my part of Florida! It is so cool. Very unusual. Wonder if the sun will blast its way through the gray day.
Try to stay cool...and yes, ice cream is a must do!!
So great to see all those pretty greens ...

Ok - the higher PS numbers are freaking me out a little. Got spoiled there for a while, with low preshots and low numbers all around... Trying to reassure myself that if she went down to 56, that means I maybe shouldn't be thinking right off that she needs a bigger dose...

Good appetite again tonight - ate approx 2 3/4 Tbsp FF... this is nearly a record day with her meal eating... usually she'll eat a little at meal time and then graze on what's left out a few hours later.

Blue didn't eat as much as Kasha - but he ate well too. He's got that look that tells me not to be surprised if he hacks up his dinner... Might still be working on a hairball. He gets scared when he starts to hack a little - he'll go running and look around all bug-eyed (don't tell Maggie this part, it would embarrass him). He's using the pet steps so much I'm afraid they'll wear out. Kasha too. They get to the top of the steps and Blue goes right onto the couch and Kasha goes left (unless I'm eating something on the couch) onto the papasan chair.

I'm exhausted. Did another hike in this heat (90+ and tropically humid - 60 some percent humidity, I think). Came home and found another DISGUSTING centipede in the kitchen sink. Thank god my vacuum cleaner has a hose that I can use to suck those awful things up. I don't want to be anywhere near those things.

Don't know what to eat for dinner, but i do know there is cake in the fridge...

aww what a cutie pie!!
The lion cut! I do that for my long haired civvie Bast a couple times a year. It's so cute.

ewww on the bug, I hate those too. :?

Enjoy your cake!!
