Yesterday he was at the vet for a manual extraction:

This morning we had a poop!!! He is pretty gassy and not wanting to eat yet, so not sure if we will give insulin in case he doesn't develop an appetite today. We have 10 mins or so to coax some food.

You can always give a least a half dose if they aren't eating. That's what cats about to get procedures and undergoing anaesthesia get. Insulin does more than combat carbs in food. If they are high and not feeling well, numbers will often stay higher anyway.

Thanks Wendy! We ended up giving 1.0 unit so we don't have to feed high carb gravy midday.

He had a pretty low AMPS (for him) so maybe even some happy greens seem possible this afternoon.

A blue kind of day for Cosmo! He had a small. Meal at AMPS. He is nibbling on food through the day.
