Oh, Polly. Pick a color, would you. These multicolor cycles are driving me 'round the bend. And, darn, girl. Here you go again.
Appy was a little off this morning, but she cleaned up the leftover plates at +6. Same food. Different cats' plates. She's pooping, peeing, window-sill sleeping. All normal for the girl. Just a little off her food and a lot off with her numbers!
But our heat has broken. Only low 90's. Now, the humidity has kicked in. Here in the high desert that's a double whammy. Yup, uncomfortable for us "dry heat" folks, plus our cooling is based on dry air being evaporated and then vented through the house (evaporative coolers). Moist air? Doesn't cool so much. So all of us are spread out sleeping off the misery!
Will? Yes, it probably was a stroke of sorts last Sunday. He's regaining function beautifully. Each day an improvement. I cheered last night when he backed up! First time he's been able to do that since the stroke. We even got a little front paw dancing at dinner time. In many ways, we were lucky his surgery date was cancelled so often. He may not have survived the procedure. For now, watch the lumps. Aspirate if any significant changes.
To top off the day...It's Will's 11th birthday...guesstimate. Intake animals at most shelters are assigned a birthday, usually all of them the same day for computer ease. Salt Lake County Animal Services uses July 4. So...happy birthday Wilson Kick-it, Duke of Conroy, aka Will.
Kitties. Don't look. A blasphemous picture on a cat board.
