Morning All!! Happy Birthday USA!!
i've got my 4th of July playlist going on the ipod. YAY!! All Ps in place and napping in a sunbeam.
We picked July 4th for Ollie's birthday. We found him and his brother (Braveheart) about the end of July in the woodpile behind the barn. The vet told us they were 2/3 weeks old, so we picked the 4th for their birthday. We tried to pass them off to the humane society but they told us there were no foster families available and they would put these two kittens to sleep. So... we decided to be foster parents. These two little fluffs could barely walk, had crusty eyes and noses, bot flies. all kinds of yuck. I slept on the kitchen floor with them for 2 weeks bottle feeding and medicating. I still cry when i think about Braveheart. He was PTS by a terrible person because of a terrible mix up. We only had him for about 3 weeks, but he is forever a love in our family.
Ollie, my dear one. ... Happy Birthday Sweetheart. AFter losing Braveheart there was no way we were going to return Ollie so we went from foster parents to parents. He came with us in the semi across country when he was 6 weeks old and we've never looked back. Our sweetie, bitey, cuddly, angel in our lives. Love you more than peanut butter! It's only been 10 years, but it seems like he's been with us always.
that's Braveheart on the left and Ollie on the right. Ollie still uses that carrier. He won't go in a bigger one! He likes what he remembers from when he was little.
many prayers for us all. blue skies... healing, eating and good day vines and prayers all around.
xoxo mary and ollie
