One more day/night of fireworks and the hopefully things will get back to normal and she will relax again.

That's my girl, back down into the low 100s, but bet I can tell tonight without ever hearing one myself when the fireworks start..<sigh>

Nice number this morning, but poor Musette. This holiday is so hard on so many of our furkids. :YMSIGH:

Re: 7/4 Musette AMPS 239, +2~296, +4~103, +6~229, +9~229

Just like clockwork, the fireworks started really banging about 11am cst here or Musette's +6, ad her numbers show it. Closed up the house, turned on the box fan in the bedroom to help muffle the noise and at +9 she is still the same as her +6. At least today is the last day they can legally shot them off, (doesn't mean we won't have a few after today), so hopefully the rest of the week her numbers will start falling again.

I'm sure a lot of the stress from this holiday is that she just got moved out of the only home she had ever known, and then top it off with all the firework noise while she is just trying to get her bearing on her new home, new humans, new furry brothers and sisters...Its understandable she would be a little stressed out.

poor thing, but at least the fireworks will go away soon. Luckily I haven't heard many in my neighborhood yet (anti-jinx).

Still a nice drop even with all the fireworks tonight, its loud this evening alot of the big displays going off fairly close. Crossing fingers for blues and greens as things settle down tomorrow and the rest of the week.

I'm very glad that my guys don't react to the noise. I live near Navy Pier, which is where the fireworks display over the lake happen. They also have fireworks displays every Wed. and Sat. from Memorial Day through Labor Day -- and these aren't kids with firecrackers.

Most of my furries don't react anymore to the fireworks either but I'm sure it is just hard on her since she is technically in a strange place still with strange people and animals. Its got to be tough to be moved twice after losing your only home for 11 years and then just as you start to settle in have the world exploding around you. I doubt by next year that she will even blink when the fourth rolls around again. But she has had a lot of changes in a very short amount of time, recently and it can't be easy on her stress levels.
