Happy July 4th LL!

Your responses from yesterday made me literally laugh out loud, especially Julie -- hysterical you read my post to your family! I think only us caretakers can appreciate the (sometimes literal) pains it takes to treat our sick kitties!

Junior did well yesterday:
AMPS 119
+6 76
PMPS 132
+6 70

Today's poking adventure started with chasing Junior around my condo to get him on the towel. I didn't want to make him more nervous so it wasn't a high speed chase. It was more of a OJ Simpson-style low speed chase where I'd coax him little by little before I got him on the towel. He was not happy and I tried to poke him quickly so he wouldn't pee on the towel.

Busy day today...laundry, pool party, picking mom and brother up from the airport. And that reminds me -- I forgot to water her hydrangeas and it's been 85-90 these last couple of days. Doh! Gotta run!

Have a great holiday everyone!

Uh, oh! Droopy hydrangeas!!

Junior's looking good. How about putting him on the towel and just giving him some treats? You want him to make some positive associations to the towel.

Re: 7/4 Junior AMPS 97

hydrangeas are the most drama filled plants if they get hot and dry. just like a cat. "I'M DYING HERE!"

glad you enjoyed me sharing your tale of woe! of course i also enjoyed your description of the OJ style chase - hahahaha - and was tempted to read that to the appreciative audience, but no one was here to listen. perhaps later. cats are so goofy.

Re: 7/4 Junior AMPS 97

hi guys! love the chase description - Go Junior! Go Bean! Very nice numbers this morning!

I hope you salvaged the hydrangeas! :-D which reminded me I need to water the pats too... omg, too many things to do.

Have a great day !

You're so right! Hyrdrangeas are the flower version of cats! So all-about-me!

Yes, I've been doing that since I've been doing that since Mococo stopped by 2 weeks ago. First poke of the day is usually the hardest b/c he knows that's what we do when I get up. Otherwise I try to get him to do everything on the towel. Play, sleep, eat, treats. I also try to make it quick by setting everything up right after the previous poke. That way he doesn't hear the test strips bottle shaking, fiddling around w/the lancet, etc.

Sorry I can't stop by condos today. Hope you guys have a great holiday today!

Bonnie: sounds like you get your exercise around there. I also got a kick out of yesterday's condo. Julie is really funny!!! Nice numbers for the ever athletic Junior today.

Here are the condos regarding Somogyi that Sienne was referring to:
