HAPPY JULY 4th!!!!

We are thankful to all those who have given their lives over our Nation's history in order for us to enjoy the freedoms we have today.

Gracie is chilling on the catio with me this morning....I brought the portable swamp cooler out and it makes it very pleasant out here. She has been very playful this morning and I tried to get a video of her playing with her shoestring (supervised play only with that)....she was hysterical doing somersaults over her little "S" throne. Unfortunately, as soon as I got the camera out she did the "I'm not a circus pony" act and just looked sweetly at me with those innocent brown eyes. :lol: :lol: Hoping she kicks this bounce today but she is a happy little girl.

We got a few thunderstorms last night and a little rain. Supposed to only be 98 today and 50% chance of big t-storms. I can't wait!! Hope to get in some pool time before they hit. I had a really nice evening with my other close girlfriend. I made a big salad of mixed greens, spinach, chicken, blueberries, strawberries, walnuts, and feta with balsamic vinagrette dressing and whole wheat rolls. It was super yum. She brought watermelon and "Love and Other Drugs" so we watched that and then another movie I had on TIVO....durn if I remember the name but it had Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher.

Sounds like a great evening, YUM on the salad! Relaxing with the kitties on the catio sounds like a great morning too.

Come down Gracie!! We are grillin' for the 4th! We need some nice cool drinks. How about something w/ lemon, mom said we can have all we want! -- Tess

WOW on that salda - omg. I could go for that.... YUM, big time!

looks like our kitties all want to be sunny yellow today. oh well, a day off for them too I guess. So typical when you get the camera out - all action stops.... it's like Mannie and the fuds dance. Will I ever get that one? probably not....

wow on the T-storms... somehow I imagine that they are quite impressive. The desert just seems to accentuate everything. I love a good storm... well - get your pool time in before they hit!

Hurry Gracie - off to pick strawberries for the shortcake and the daiquiris and the BBQ. See you!! ~~ Mannie.... ppssst - bring the Tobes too!

Heehee, on Gracie letting you know she's not a circus act. Heck, I'd drive to my DD's just to see that video. Did I ever say, I hate dialup? Ah, the joys of living in the boonies.

looks like Gracie is saving up her action for tonight. Lucky you! At least she gave you the day off to play without having to poke the kitty too much.

Happy 4th to you and Gracie and Tobey, Teddi & Mike, did I miss anyone?? Only 98 degrees, did you say, and I can't take 80's here, too hot! I wonder what Gracie will do tonight. Hope you're enjoying the day.

It sounds like you've had a lovely weekend and a wonderful start to the day with Gracie out on the catio! No doubth she'll clear that bounce ASAP, but even still...she's a happy Gracie, and that's a great thing!

Hi Marje!!! Finally making myself sit at the computer to get stuff done!!! Looks like Gracie gave you the day off, too!! At least it's still the second floor, whew!!

Man, I'm going to have to make a trip to Tucson just so I can be part of your girls night. Sounds like you had a blast!! Nothing better than food, movies, and good company!! And pooh on you getting rain. We supposedly got rain yesterday, but it must have gone somewhat else in Las Vegas because it just spit on my car, just enough to make it look like crap!!! I WANT RAIN DANGIT!!!

Salad sounds great. Nice that Gracie feels so good. Hope Teddi is doing well. Enjoy your fireworks (on TV of course) and thunderstorms. I'm over thunderstorms. This is the lightening capital of the world and the storms are bad.
 
Good evening all!!! Well...I've had to put those durn patience pants on again. May I growl briefly?? grr_red grr_red grr_red :lol: :lol: She definitely has done better on this dose before. I wish I could figure out what is going on with her. She seems to feel absolutely great. I'm hoping the flat yellows will drum up some bidness!!!

Ann: Love the 4th banner!!! That is really cute. Yes...nice morning that I stretched into early afternoon!

Michelle: leftover salad for dinner...yum yum. Got sme great storms this afternoon, too!

Barb!!: Hope you and Checks are doing awesome. We miss your condo every day but glad he is at the falls. Oh yes...98...a cool front :lol:

Libby: I can only hope she'll get with it tonight. I'm rested and ready!!

Ann: Missed Gus but that's ok....he's not jealous :lol: I also wonder what she will do tonight.

Melissa: Definitely got in some pool time. Enough that I started feeling bad about the pool tile needing some scrubbing so I did that for a bit :lol:

Christie: it was....I like it even better with poppyseed dressing but just didn't feel like making it. Green dress? Would love to see it!

Amy: I will tell her you said she MUST clear the bounce immediately (I paraphrase :lol: ;-) ).

Barbara: Teddi is doing really well, thank you. She's been eating very well on her own!! And back to all her normal sleeping spots and habits. She looks great.

Off for din din....I'm hoping we'll get more rain tonight....it's pretty cloudy and dark out there. It rained so hard that it blew rain all the way under the back patio (which is really wide) AND also on the catio....so everything was wet. Gracie skedaddled out there and jumped up on the condo; when I went to get her to test her, she was very damp!!
