Alrighty, so Coco is on TID now. so far. its all been high, obviously cuz the dose is low, so im thinking of raising it for tmr..

currently at 2units per dose, i would raise it to 2.5u

the spread sheet for the TID is in my sig.. I left the old one there too,.. Im hoping this will work. I dont know if it means anything since he is always high atm, but its not too bouncy currently :o maybe a good sign *fingers crossed*

Hello Cocobutterball !!! You look like you could be BKs brother!

I no nothing of TID and almost nothing of Acro, but wanted to chime in to wish you the best of luck with the new plan.

Please monitor very carefully. I may be a bit nervous about this but increasing by 0.5u when you're shooting TID seems like a lot to me, especially since you don't have any data on how Coco is responding to TID dosing. Before you increase next time, could you get input from Jill or Libby?

My situation is very different than yours - but I am more inclined to cautiously raise a dose and hold on something that is maybe a little too low than move quickly and end up with a hypo. Kazi very often needs 3-5 days before her numbers really show a difference from a dose increase. It might be good - even if just for gathering data - to stick with your current dose for a week or so and see where it takes you.

Ohhh I'll be eagerly watching how Coco does on tid dosing. Another one who does this is Emmy and Dude. Dude isn't acro but if you would like to talk with Emmy she's here on fdmb too and has been doing this for quite some time with her boy.

I"m so glad to see an update on Coco too! Hoping for better numbers for both of you as you get a better handle on doing this!!!

i think we've all got eyes on you to see how if this helps flatten out coco's numbers.

are you looking at percentages for the increase? seems like most of the increases are in the 10% or less range. i'm just thinking that at 6u/day total, if you increase 10% that would be 6.6u per day, or 2.2u for each shot TID. just throwing that out there for you to consider. punkin's up to 12u now and i'm still finding that a .5u increase makes a difference, which is about a 5% increase.

it would be interesting to have a graph of coco's BG so you could see where the overlap of each dose takes him.

thanks for letting us all share in your learning, andrea. i appreciate it. might be something others of us will need for our kitters at some point as well.

It was looking good lol. but then went back up. Ill go another day i think before raising, coco has been one to take longer to adjust to new doses imo... but im going to wait another day cuz of the low pink i got today to see if it happens again or not. or to see if we get anything lower.

.. But i think I'm ok to raise a little more frequently then a week or so until i see some mid yellows at least, just my opinion, i just still feel like the numbers are high enough, and his dose is low enough.. to keep doing half unit increases until the numbers do hit yellows... then maybe go to .25u increases.. .. hes not even at his old dose of 9u/day yet.. so.. i think im still safe right now. im not seeing any signs of a sudden drop coming or anything on the current dose.. i just think its still too low.

I dunno, ill have to take it as it comes i guess.. hard for me to future plan how i wanna increase his dose til its time lol. ill prolly slow down more once im back at 9u/day ... sinse thats how much he was getting on BID.

I do like how I'm not really getting all the black numbers now though.. That alone, has taken so off my shoulders.. with no R too.. impressed me to see them go away.. for now at least.
